There are also redundant agencies in the federal government all serving the same purpose. Obama did what he does and said that he would have someone go through and pinpoint the redundancies and "plain stupid" regulations. Did he do anything? No, because the establishment simply fights for maintaining the establishment. They cannot stand to hear the crowd \or their corporate-partners squealing when a necessary cut comes their way. Speaking of the increase in spending for the past 10 years does not even address whether or not we actually needed that much spending before these past 10 years blew it into hyperspace.

Yep. Obama promised to go through the budget line by line.

But instead he increased spending; thus adding more to the debt in one term than Bush did in two.

Promises? Obama will go down as a POTUS that didn't keep promises.

No only did he not keep them, he typically went in the opposite direction.

Oh, the war in Iraq is unpopular? Obama campaigned against it, then started three more.

Oh, the debt is unpopular? Obama campaigned against it, then added more to the debt in one term than Bush did in two terms.

Oh, the policies are unpopular? Obama campaigned against them, then embraced them.
