Russell Wilson takes the Max contract in Denver while he was on the road to a hall of fame career in Seattle.

Russell Wilsons took the max contract-250 million dollars and now Denver doesn't have the cap space to sign good players because they spent it all on Russell Wilson.

I guess Russell Wilson didn't really care all that much about winning all along.

Meanwhile Geno Smith takes just 1 million dollars so Seattle will have cap space to sign good players.

It sure hasn’t helped Seattle this year.

Denver is going to dump Wilson. They can’t continue to pay a QB an average of 50 million a year to throw short swing passes, bubble screens and the occasional 50/50 long hall. Plus him and his head coach are not seeing eye to eye.

Seattle got rid of him just in time.

    Yup...
    And, Payton is a LOSER...
That clock management at the end, and calling those idiotic timeouts, cost them the LAC game and a chance at the playoffs...
    One of Sports Biggest Mysteries:
How a couple of choking losers (like Wilson and Payton) managed to get SB Rings...

Denver has benched Russell Wilson for their final two games. This is a likely sign that Wilson will be out of Denver.

They already know that. They are not going to be able to trade him with that huge salary.

They have two options. Keep him or release him and take a huge dead cap hit.

And Tua Tagovailoa, the best QB in the league, makes $7M, and beat Denver 70-20 in September

He’s not close to being the best QB in the NFL

Denver can’t release Wilson. If they did they would suffer a salary cap hit of 85 million dollars over the next two seasons.

There’s no such thing in the NFL as a max contract. There’s no maximum salary in the NFL. Only a minimum salary.
