That's because German submarines can't dive deep enough to run into submerged mountains.

Not knocking the German navy or German submarines.

The Germans produce some of the best diesel electric subs there are.

There are more than a few in the U.S. Navy who argue that the USN should operate both nuclear and diesel electric submarines.

Germany produces some of the best mariners (sailors) there are in the world along with the British, "Yankee" Americans, Scandinavians and natives from the Sandwich Islands (Hawaii)

The Japanese also has excellent mariners.

    Ahaha. Show Detroit. :roflol::roflol::roflol:

If you do not talk about negros in Detroit, and continue the topic.
According to the official report of the US Department of Defense, more than 300 key elements necessary for the normal functioning of the American army are supplied from abroad. The enterprises of the military industrial complex in America are either ruined and replaced by suppliers from China and the countries of Southeast Asia.
Americans have forgotten how to produce even the threads for tents. If the Chinese supplier of threads declares a US embargo, the brave marines will spend the night open air.
But it’s not just tents, the production of American missiles depends entirely on foreign suppliers, starting with switches and ending with motors.
And these problems cannot be resolved even by launching a money machine at full capacity, entire production cycles have been destroyed, and there are not enough specialists. US universities can not produce qualified engineers and technicians, physicists. More and more immigrants from China and other Asian countries are working on American nuclear facilities.
With experts in the IT sphere, in USA is also bad: the current ones cannot provide the proper level of cyber security and write modern software. Maybe that's why Americans see cyber invasion and various interventions all the time ?! So your fears are projected?
In general, the US Army is completely dependent on foreign suppliers and specialists. Obviously, this is an unreliable support in the event of a full-scale war. While some American clans reveled in undivided world power in the past 25 years, others diligently disarmed the USA and achieved tangible results.

How not to build warships is the lesson hopefully learned.

Other examples are the F-35 and the Navy's, Little Crappy Ship (Littoral Combat Ship / LSC)

We dont have diesel electric subs. Ours run on fuel cells and are considered the most advanced submarines in the world. They dive deeper than what your submarine dived when it hit the seamount. The tst depth of the Delfin-Klasse Sub is 1.150 feet.

Thats double the depth where your submarine smashed into the sea mount.

Also keep in mind it was a Delfin-Klasse Submarine that during NATO excersice broke through the security ring around your aircraft carrier and in real action would have fired 4 torpedos at it.

I did not show Detroit. Video from Los Angeles. And I can show such a video from any city in the USA, including Washington. At the same time, I only just respond to the aggressive attacks of my American friends on this forum.

When you say average, you are averaging the 20 thousand sq ft mansions of the billionaires with the masses that live in trailers, etc. If you did that in Russia with its oligarchs, it would turn out that the Russians also live in 2,500 ft homes. You do know that our middle class doesn't exist anymore? Anyway people in Europe are minimalists. Big is not that important to them.

As for eating meat everyday, unlucky you - especially if they're not pastured. Europeans and Russians won't even touch them - nor would I.

I don't know where you live, but $44,564 would be poverty where I live, and considering it's averaging the higher incomes with the lower incomes says a lot about the poverty in the US today.

People in other countries don't have the sky high insurances that we have, because law suits are not that common. As for Russia, most people grow their own food in their dachas during the summer, and what they buy is probably a lot cheaper since wages and rents are lower.

I know in Greece only the wealthy live in homes outside of Athens. Most people live in small apartments and build or restore their family home in the town or island they came from. In Russia the people have dachas to get out of the city, and some are big and some are small depending on their finances.

Anyway it all balances out. I recall in the 50's and 60's when we did have a middle class how expensive fruit was considering people's wages. That was before they started shipping it in from California. Some things cost a fortune compared to what they cost today, but other things like cars were cheap and we didn't have all the added expenses we now have.

I think you better look around and start educating yourself because we're not that great anymore. Russia was able to absorb 2 million refugees, and place them all in areas where they were needed - and yet Russia's economy and social benefits is nothing compared to Germany and the Scandinavian countries. In the meantime we have homeless all over the place.

Your subs are diesel electric. A diesel engine that powers an electric motor that turns the screw when you need to go fast or travel long distances and fuel cells for producing electricity for the electric motor when just mopping along at slow speed.

Das boot ist kaputt: German navy has zero working subs
Spare parts shortage, collision damage have sidelined entire sub fleet.
    https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2017/12/das-boot-ist-kaputt-german-navy-has-zero-working-subs/

On paper, the Deutsche Marine has six Type 212A submarines equipped with advanced air-independent propulsion , allowing ultraquiet operations submerged for over two weeks at a time.

By the way 1.150 ft is roughly 350m which is 137 meters less than what Seawolf class are doing (487m).

I agree, but you have to understand the sheer number of these we get from Russian posters or I guess I should say, Anti American posters.

Literally there are two or three a day talking about how "America is dead" or "Russia will win a nuclear war"!" or god knows what else.

While I agree these threads are nothing but a joke, they are pretty well earned by our Russian and Anti-American posting crowd we have here

You said you were living in Florida which is of course a lie but let's take your word for a moment.

    Here's the median in Florida:

According to the Census ACS 1-year survey, the median household income for Florida was $50,860 in 2016, the latest figures available. Compared to the median US household income, Florida median household income is $6,757 lower.

    https://www.deptofnumbers.com/income/florida/

Miami is the richest city in Florida and its median is only half a grand above that figure:

The Census ACS 1-year survey reports that the median household income for the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach Florida metro area was $51,362 in 2016, the latest figures available.

    https://www.deptofnumbers.com/income/florida/miami/

$44,564 is roughly 3700 a month and weekends excluded it makes some $169 daily. So it is NOT poverty but just below Florida average.

If yearly 6K difference from the Florida average means poverty then by the same token, Miami average income is poverty to Atlanta, GA (my home) which is more than 10K above the Miami median:

The Census ACS 1-year survey reports that the median household income for the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta Georgia metro area was $62,613 in 2016, the latest figures available. Atlanta median household income is $9,054 higher than the median Georgia household incomeand $4,996 greater than the US median household income.

Arkansas, Louisiana, West Virginia, New Mexico, Mississippi, are all below $50K and some of them are even below $44,564.
So it is just the average in all those states, where gas is much cheaper, CVS has much nicer deals, etc... I don't expect a Russian troll to know even a pack of reds in the US would differ from state to state but still wanted to feed the board with some facts when it is proper to do so...

Dachas huh? As tho they were built by the private citizens...They are leftovers of the planned Soviet economy. What's more absurd than the 2 months summer time which would definitely make growing food a fantasy is to be able to grow them in great numbers to be able sell them cheap and still profit... Oh that'd be something beyond fantasy considering even Napoleon had had to withdraw Fwench awmy due to harsh winter conditions in Russia, let alone growing vegetables on a frozen soil... You can't even be a Russian properly, can you... Lol...

Why did Republicans green light literally all of these designs?

Geeks at Naval Sea Systems Command who never seen a slide rule, draft board, compass, dividers, squares and rulers gave them the green light.

The F-35, LCS (Little Crappy Ships), Zumwalt destroyers and the Ford class carriers were all designed by computers not real engineers and naval architects or aeronautical engineers in the F-35 case.

    FYI:
Take a look at who sits on the Congressional armed services committees.
For the Democrats the only thing they are concerned with is the social engineering of the military not if our military can fight and if the weapons platforms work.

Interesting, so the Republicans running the Pentagon and the White House had no choice but to accept those designs?

The Pentagon are civilians not the military.

But for the first time in history we have a military man as Secretary of Defense, Gen. "Mad Dog" Mattis.

President Obama went through four Sec of Def before he could find a yes man.

But it was the Obama administration who was in charge of the DOD from 2009 - 2017.

Even today the majority with in the DOD are Democrats.

That is not true. Development of the F-35 started in 1992 while bush was president. However, their have been hundreds of different design changes since then. Every president since Bush has continued this program. They all get credit or blame.

Beyond that anyone who thinks anything with this much technology will not have bugs is an idiot. My son bought a new BMW six months ago. It has already been recalled 4 times. It takes time to work the bugs out. It does not mean the program is a failure.
