    Stop your incessant whining
It's not hysteria, Hansel....nearly 40 Putin opponents have met an untimely end in foreign lands after they've criticized your little dictator. While you may be satisfied with allowing Fascists Russian thugs to assassinate their former associates on Putin's orders, the rest of the world considers it a crime!

And the opinion poll is probably skewed in Russia's favor at that!

Are you going to watch World Cup or you are not a big fun of football? No Angela did not say me this, but leaving in Germany I know how much this game is popular in the country. Most of the kids play football. So if she for any reason decides to prevent Germany to participate in the World Cup she will be for sure condemned by a lot of local people.

If you can think a bit, you will see that overall almost half of the people like Russia. In addition, some of the data is in fact arguable.Much of the population in Israel, for example, are Russian speaking people from former Soviet Uninion. Therefore, there is no background for the numbers given for Israel. They seemed to falsify them. And they forgot completely China, where a lot of people like Russia. So your statement that people dislike Russia is nonsense.

Maybe you will bring then a proof here that there was an order from Putin to assasinate Skripal? You know, the general Kalugin, former KGB general was critisizing Putin much more than Skripal, but he is still alive. Can you explaine why?

Perhaps Putin is saving Kalugin for some very special treatment....we will see, but the fact remains that nearly 40 Putin opponents have lost their lives under mysteries circumstances. Only a blind man would argue that there is no connection!

Remember....Putin, the little dictator, said recently that Russia is no friend of the US and will never be. I think it's reasonable to assume any Russian that identifies himself as a "friend" must be held with extreme suspicion!

How many like your kleptocrat KGB President?
I hope you're right. It will then go better when the Chinese flood into Siberia and take over.:banana::banana:

Ohh, I will catch a game or two, I've been sorta influenced by 3 nieces whose mother's a German girl from Mainz. They're rather heavy into soccer, and I'll see when Germany's playing.
I try to see what Brazil does, they're tough, and fantastic fans.

Yeah, soccer is popular in Germany, idk what Merkel will do.

    No one cares.

    You are contained.
Drop your iron curtain and enjoy life.

People not wishing to play ball with you is not aggression. If you think it is, no problem. We'll build a wall around you and leave you be.

Argentina and Brazil probably will attend, I'm not so sure Germany will too.

I get the impression posters here don't appreciate the magnitude of Putin's outrage. It is bad enough for a government to attempt to assassinate people, doing so in another country is even worse, resorting to a toxic chemical agent that endangers others is another aggravating factor and employing something that distinctly bears the identity of the perpetrator is quite indecorous. I don't think all of this is properly being considered. Putin's conduct in this case seems extremely personal, quite intentional and done in a manner that outrageously tells the world he thinks he can use banned chemical weapons in a personal vendetta.

If Germany doesn't "attend", and perhaps a few others....what's the point of staging this event at all, that's where the $$$$ and entertainment are between soccer giants like Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Argentina, brazil, UK, you take 3-4 out, it's rather pointless, afaic.

Exactly. I wouldn't be surprised if FIFA moves the World Cup if enough important countries drop out.

At least rattlesnakes warn you before they strike and kill....not so with Russia's assassination teams roaming Europe to eliminate opposition figures and defectors!

Twenty four governments expelled Russian "diplomats" in solidarity with Britain's outrage, I've only read about 6 cancelling participation in the World Cup (so far). I wonder if there will be more cancellations, maybe some participants hope Putin will acknowledge his mistake, or maybe some of those 24 governments will pressure their FIFA clubs to withdraw.

The World Cup is the Olympics of soccer, hosting this event confers status and legitimacy, something which would be mistakenly granted to the government behind extraterritorial assassinations with banned chemical weapons.

I suppose you're a gringo. In the rest of the world, all across Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America and Oceania everyone avidly follows soccer
