Russia Freaked Out: MiG-41 Is a Real 6th Generation Fighter Nightmare

Well it would be nice to say that Navy Times, Army Times, AF Times would never photoshop a picture, but I'm old enough to remember the lessons of The Pentagon Papers and 30 years later The Afghanistan Papers. That lesson was, for those too young to remember, that the Pentagon has been notorious for its mendacity for generations.

The amateur night time videos looked authentic to me, but I know the Pentagon is not the only group to use photoshop technology. I don't really care what actually happened, and I hoped no sailors were killed or wounded. If the Houthis are able to hit large ocean-going commercial vessels, it seems likely they might hit a carrier.

 

Wow! I had not even heard about the USS Eisenhower being hit by missiles! One thing seems certain, the Iranians are evidently of quite capable of producing their own hypersonic (and other) missiles. When you google "Iranian hypersonic missiles", you get reading material that will last you a day. I can't believe that ALL of it is fiction, either.

Afterthought: we should have cleaned this mess in the Middle East up five decades ago when we could have done it easily in less than a month. Now? Neither the 'Crats nor the 'Pubs seem to be able to do it anymore....

Where are the "look at this giant hole and battle damage" pics you claim should exist?

They could hit a target the size of a carrier, with luck helping them get a missile and launcher that aren't fubared by bad QC or operator error.
The thing is: Carrier strike groups have the best point defense on the planet so its not really an issue.

No, the evidence for my claim is video from months back. To be clear, I acknowledge that the videos I saw could have been photoshopped. Maybe it happened, maybe it didn't. The Pentagon's reputation for mendacity over decades colors my judgement, for sure. They have hit and sunk a few commercial vessels, so it is possible they got lucky and hit the carrier.

 

And terrorist groups NEVER EVER lie about ANYTHING EVER, right?
What part of it pulled into an open port filled with people and cameras in the middle of the ****ing day and there are no photos of damage was unclear?
You think none of those people have ****ing cell phones in their ****ing pockets?


Commercial vessels don't have missile defense both on board and in the battlespace through other ships in the carrier strike group, most wise and learned one.

Further: The carrier pulled into port, in public, during the day time, with random plebs and foreign espionage agents hanging about.

Poland hates Russia and will take any excuse given to hit the article V button. Finland: Ditto.

Maybe, but remember that during WW2 the Russians captured the chemical weapons factory at Dyhernfurth in Poland, and shipped the factory contents and all it's scientists back to Russia, the same scientists who had developed sarin and tabun, still two of the deadliest nerve gases known to man.
In reality nobody in the west knows what Russia has stockpiled.

 

All of Putin's 'red lines' have been shown to be bluffs. All those people who have used the imaginary threat of WW3 as an excuse to justify abandoning Ukraine to Putin will need to change excuses.....though I suspect some will just keep repeating it.
