The truth is that there is no way we can compete with Russia considering the low costs, so we'll do what we always do, sanctions nations that buy from them. It's the American way. :oldman:

Now what Washington should do, is stop the sanctions so the Ruble will strengthen and raise the costs of Russia's exports, that way the competition will even out. But NO, our intent is to destroy Russia and break up the federation.

Have we ever conducted an attack on any nation that didn't backfire on us? But look, it shouldn't stop us now. It never did before.

Wow....hardly a convincing video clip....the seconf last one is hilarious, 3 clunkers cabled up to each other....trying to outmuscle a TG230 HP NH series FWA....looks like they barely pulled it 5 ft....and ill hazard a guess the T series NH wasn't even half throttle.....pffft.

The JD which looks like an 8000 series was hardly pulled , and the russki looked like he was crapping big time....the other clips look like clunkers with operators who didn't have a clue what they were doing.

Heres a priceless clip.....a newer 8000R series , FWA ...TIRES.....electro synchro mesh tranny, with hardly any front weights, versus a TRACKED (steel) rooski....full throttle puffing hard could even come close to the JD....LOL.

John Deere is worldwide.....always will be, even in Asiatic moskalshchyna....even Casecorp construction equipment when I was in Magadan to show/train local gopniks how to use Amerinskah maschyna.....and JD will always hold their resale values longer than anyone else....with all their equipment....I can post various clips of many makes....whereas most rooski equipment will be junkyards awaiting meltdown many years earlier...LOL.

I tend to agree, but I'm sure they'll be selling to African countries, India and other Asian countries, neighboring countries, and possibly Latin American companies as well, assuming they want to sell to all of them and they all want to buy. Lower prices will help the Irkut in such markets especially. Then we'll see how it goes. I don't imagine Europe will jump on it, nor the Commonwealth, until they have a good track record at least. Meanwhile, Boeing has messed things up slightly with one aircraft and will be responding appropriately. People will get over the 737 Max in time, and Boeing should continue to do fine. They're sure to learn from this mistake, so I doubt we will see any major issues with another Boeing airliner any time soon.

    1) I have no idea what the safety track record of Russian aircraft is but, I am certain that you don't either. Given this fact - what is your opinion worth ?

    2) why would you not read RT ? This would be a good counter to the one sided propaganda narratives you ingest on a daily basis.

Well... That Russian track record could be totally be about crappy maintenance / corruptions and not with the design of the aircraft for all I know. Come to think of it,... the world has been using Russian rockets to fly into space for decades when NASA started to fall apart with their program.

What I do know, is that the design of the 737max is wrong. It will crash if you refuse to pay for the upgrade. And plenty of companies haven't. The upgrade seems to have been made free now. But you know... who the hell designs a plane that will crash unless you pay for the upgrades? If that was a Russian plane,... than how would the west react to this?

Article is in Russian but it talks about the quality of SSJ100 - a Mexican airline Interjet has 22 of the these Russian aircraft. Out of 22, 15 are parked and not used. Several of those aircraft are used for cannibalization - these planes are being taken apart for parts to be used in other functioning planes.
Mexico wants to get rid of these planes - complaints include - unreliable engines, difficulty obtaining parts and servicing the aircraft.
Again, would anyone risk getting on a russian aircraft for a flight? I say F this S, give me Boeing or Airbus!

There are legitimate and respectable Russian mass media. RT is not one of them.
Here is a good article, by Russians, about the quality of Russian SSJ100.
I’m pretty positive you can read Russian.

Oh, and by the way - this is one of the legitimate Russian mass media sites. You quote RT - you flash yourself as a russian troll.

Ha! Nice. Your Russian article cites this one in English, by the way: https://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/interjet-grounds-two-thirds-of-ssj100-fleet-456890/

Mexico's Interjet has grounded more than two-thirds of its Sukhoi Superjet 100 fleet, with dozens of engines out of service as the airline remains locked in talks with Sukhoi over the withdrawal of the aircraft.

Fifteen of Interjet's 22 SSJ100s are in storage while only seven aircraft remain in service, Cirium's Fleets Analyzer shows. The stored aircraft were parked as early as April 2018, although about half of the 15 aircraft went into storage in the second half of 2018. Since the year began, Interjet has parked two more SSJ100s, the database shows.

Sources familiar with the situation say Interjet wants to sell its SSJ100 fleet back to Sukhoi, but is deadlocked in talks with the manufacturer, who wants the airline to keep operating the aircraft.

    ...

I've been on Sukhoi Superjets 3 or 4 times. No complaints....seemed to be nice planes. They are, after all, co-designed by BOEING. At least none of the Sukhois have taken nose dive dirt naps, like the 737 max's.

I didn't quote RT - It is you who is the troll. I do however read RT there is lots of good stuff on there - Much of the time the articles and interviews are US citizens .. such as Ron Paul and other well known people - who can't get any coverage in the US Media.

I have no clue how to read Russian - and ad hom attacks you about all you have. You probably think Ron Paul - and anyone else who disagrees with your messed up and uninformed perspective - is a "Russian Troll"

    What a joke.

I flew by SSJ100 many times. Comfortable seats, a lot of space etc. A bit noisy and windows are situated too low, from my point of view. It's absolutely normal airplane. Of course, apart from technical service and maintenance wich manufacturer provides for its clients.

Ive always flown on a Boeing.....including 737, recently from Phoenix-Miami.....great plane, which I think the problem will be fixed and Boeing will be tops again.

    Keep dreaming.

The Yugo was Yugoslavian, and they were never part of the Soviet Union.
