I concur that most MAGAs have an inflated view of themselves and I don't see that changing anytime soon. :

4 yrs ago when Trump and his minions had to publicize anything that trump did was a success, most knew to just be patient, and those thumping their chest on how good they were would eventually come crashing down. Now that Trump is in a whole lot of trouble, they can't accept it, as evident in their posts.

I guess he'll choose not to respond to your question.

But I'll take a shot at it..

He (All MAGA) won't like Will Hurd because his current stance is to NOT support Trump should he win the nomination...

I don't think so. Scott has to dance around Republican and looks so compromised he reminds minorities of why Republicans aren't their friends.

Lets do with the founding fathers what is right and just, which is to discard that which is no longer relevant and true, and keep that which is.

We used to drive past John Birch Society billboards saying "Dwight Eisenhower in a communist!" What goes around comes around.

He promptly surrendered to the Woke Left when they attacked DeSantis.

Tim Scott is too soft to be our nominee.

“The man consistently defaults to submission to the woke left, but the times call for a warrior and his brand is soft surrender. Yeah, it would be nice to live in an era where we have the luxury of a president who dodged the draft in the culture wars, but we do not live in that time. Tim Scott needs to stay right where he is, an affable but unaccomplished senator firmly within the tradition of the political puffballs that South Carolina’s GOP inexplicably turns out. Let him be nice somewhere where his alleged niceness won’t shaft us again.”

'He could have said this: “The idea that Ron DeSantis is some sort of slavery advocate is silly and cynical and I refuse to play Kamala Harris’s divisive race-baiting game. I intend to beat the governor in this race, but I will do it on policy, not on lies. Next question.”'

'The idea that Ron DeSantis somehow drafted some sort of pro-slavery provision in the standards – there are no pro-slavery provisions, of course – is just as dumb as the idea that DeSantis approves of slavery. It’s an almost insultingly stupid accusation, making the pushback a no-brainer. It was an easy win.'

Tim Scott's moment came, and he whiffed.

I like Tim Scott but Biden and the left have turned this country into a shithole country. We are no longer the greatest country on Earth. So, right now, I have to disagree with him.

I like a lot of what Tim Scott says, but I am going to have to explore the contributors of any candidate before I make a decision.

In these days of polar opposites, choices are clearer than ever. I will always be skeptical of any "go along to get along attitude". When human beings ever reach an overwhelming consensus, you can bet their bottom dollar they will be wrong. Our founders knew that. Only 40% or less supported the American Revolution when it began.
Probably why they chose a Democratic Republic over a pure Democracy.

    agree

"When a religion is good, I conceive it will support itself; and when it does not support itself, and God does not take care to support it so that its professors are obliged to call for help of the civil power, 'tis a sign, I apprehend, of its being a bad one.

Remember, in a gang rape, the majority want to have sex, while the basic human rights of the victim are horribly violated. Our system works to protect the rights of both the majority and the minority.

As another put it, Pure Democracy is the Lion, the Wolf, the Bear, and the Lamb deciding who to eat for dinner.
