I follow politics. None of our politicians across the spectrum are traitors, Nazis or Hitlers. Anyone who follows my posts knows that I have been critical of the personal attacks on Joe Biden.

Many Democrats if not most are socialists, some would probably describe themselves as Marxists. I can always find a lot of common ground with the thinking Left. Again, they are not traitors, Nazis or Hitlers.

Anyone who reads my posts knows that I support Biden over Trump.
I oppose RP isolationism. I do not hate people I disagree with.

If people don't think a large percent of Democrats condone this behavior.... Head on over to Facebook and see the open display of hatred that is everywhere across social media.

I'm sure social media has already scrubbed the shooters social media history cleaner than Hillary Clinton's server

Thoughtless rage. Haters: It's time for self-reflection.

The only people who have lost their minds here, and apparently their ability to read at a fairly basic level, are GOP supporters.

Here's some sanity needed for this thread.

People from both sides of the aisle are condemning this. As well they should.

Yes, this guy was no doubt influenced by the violent rhetoric that has been taking place in our country. FROM BOTH SIDES. But that is no excuse what so ever to blame any one person. We are all responsible for our own actions. Including this assassin. And the rhetoric is coming from both sides. So, if you're going to blame anyone other than the shooter (which is where the actual blame lies)... blame both sides.

Let this be a wake up call. Realize that we NEED to do better. We NEED to stop vilifying each other. We may disagree on several things. But both sides are interested in doing what they believe to be Right. And no, that doesn't mean X side wants to be a dictator, or king/queen or <insert whatever here>. We simply have differences of opinion on how to go about doing certain things. And if we actually talked TO each other rather than AT each other we might actually find out that we have more in common than we realize.

Biden never needed to incite violence against Trump because there's not a chance in hell that Trump will be elected.

In a Politico article Biden reportedly told donors: “I have one job, and that's to beat Donald Trump. I'm absolutely certain I'm the best person to be able to do that. So, we're done talking about the debate, it's time to put Trump in a bullseye.”

The "bullseye" comment was obviously a political call for support - not a call to violence.

But the educated Trump advocates & pundits will capitalize on Biden's statement to manipulate & incite the MAGA cult who lack critical thinking skills and will buy hook-line-and-sinker such BS in their desperate attempt to salvage dwindling support for Trump.

Whatever one feels about Biden as president, people who know Biden personally know he's a good, kind man at heart. Here is Lindsey Graham not holding back when expressing his feelings & views towards Joe Biden vs Donald Trump.

Is that remotely like telling one's supporters to " fight like hell or you're not going to have a country anymore " ?

So the inflammatory rhetoric of Joe Biden is just a figure of speech or misunderstanding while with trump it is of course completely literal.

I swear partisan politics inspires the most shameless hypocrisy and double standards known to mankind

When Palin used a bullseye with Giffords the left absolutely went nuts and blamed her for Giffords being shot. So its dishonest to now say that it means nothing with Biden's bullseye comment.

On the flip side, it is also dishonest to argue that Biden's "bullseye" comment means something now, when you previously argued that it meant nothing in the Palin's/Giffords case.

Both sides are being hypocritical and partisan here.

I for one have recognized in the past that it was wrong to target Palin back then due to political rhetoric she used. It is wrong now to target Biden for the same thing. And yes, I also do not blame Trump for the riot on 1/6. All of this going back and forth and blaming the other side while excusing their side for the same things happening is purely partisan politics. That is all that it is.

Slanderous lies told to you by your TV.
It's not a Democrat president that was just targeted for assassination.

What do you mean and? And..... If Republicans were so violent it would have been Joe Biden that was targeted.

Accurate speech isn't hate speech. MAGA is a threat to democracy.

Anyone who thinks the 1/6 attackers are heroes are a threat to democracy.

The MAGA movement, a carbon copy of the John Birchers, noting that Bill Buckley cast them to the fringe back in the 60s/70s.

But now the inmates control the asylum on the right.

That's not a threat of violence. That's a threat that Biden's going to win.

The AG pointed out that the authorization policy was standard FBI protocol, there was even one during the voluntary search of Biden's house.

Try being honest for a change.

Federal Election Commission records show that a donor listed as Thomas Crooks with the same address gave $15 to a Democratic-aligned political action committee called the Progressive Turnout Project in January 2021.

Who donated $15 to a democrat aligned etc…

    Read it for yourself patty:

    https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2024/07/14/us/trump-shooting-thomas-matthew-crooks-intl-hnk

    It’s all there on CNN.
