I like Nate and his site. But I’ll still not make a prediction and I still look at this election as a 50-50 race. There’s still lots of water to pass under the election bridge. The one thing I’d dispute is thinking Trump is change. Yes, he’s not the incumbent, but he’s a former president. An old former president. A lot of voters were looking for someone younger than either Trump or Biden. Harris gives them that and could be part of the reason she wiped out a 4.2 Trump lead over Biden into a 2-point lead for herself.

I even turn off my TV and won’t turn it back on until after the election to avoid all the political ads. Streaming works nicely. Political campaigns are full of propaganda, most of it untrue. I suppose the who idea is to get the voter to hate the other guy more than they hate your guy. I don’t buy into the notion that Trump is a threat to democracy or to the republic or this nation any more than the democrats are.
