Love that whole album! Every song on it is good, some great. I love "Arrow" and "Blossom" also. I would suggest anyone who likes this song listen to the entire album.
I'm going to try one of those songs here in just a moment. That's the only song off the top of my head that I can recall being familiar with immediately. At least that's the one that got all the radio play
I predict you will thank me for it! Lol! Side note: I won that cd in a radio contest doing a live remote! Knocked over some bowling pins with an old jack-o-lantern that I stole from a porch the day after halloween!
Your avatar is the cover of a rush album isn't it? Mine is actually my shadow when I was fossil hunting on the river about a year and a half ago
Yes, 2112. They have been my favorite for a long time, since their first album. I can't say who my overall favorite is now. There are so many good bands! Here's a new one that you might enjoy. Like a little movie. See if you can pick out some of the actors in it:
Cool. I only recognized jelly roll but I'm not much of a movie or TV buff so I don't recognize a lot of people that many people probably would
I love that video. Every time I watch it I see something I missed before. Bunny X, jelly roll's wife is the blonde, the girl playing poker is a fairly famous republican transgender. The dark haired girl near the end is the lead singers girlfriend, Saraya Bevis, otherwise known as Paige from WWE. For me it's just a fun video to watch..........until my next favorite! Lol!
Jelly roll is really a rags to riches story. Having a similar background myself it's a shame that so many people can't manage to stay out of prison. The last time I was released was 2008 and I have been in no trouble since all except for that unfortunate fishing without a license civil offense. And that was 10 years ago so now I fish with a license. If you like videos that tell a story you will probably like this one. This song came out in the beginning of the pandemic and while some people may not agree with what it portrays, I think it's pretty spot on. Notice in the beginning when she hands him the mask and makes him put it on she pins a button on his shirt that says compliant while she walks around with a button that says exempt. Credit to Talon for showing me this video
I like 5 Finger Death Punch. Interesting video for "Living the Dream", liked the end! He was dreaming of the future. Strange future!
I'm not religious but I guess you could say I'm agnostically spiritual and I feel like everything is going according to a plan. I don't think the future is set in stone but I do think there is some intelligence or something or other that is exactly aware of how the future is going
I think our future is what we make of it and we change the possibilities constantly. I can't wrap my head around the "alternate universe" theories. Too far fetched. One of the things W. Bush said that I liked was when he talked about the points of light. I see us as individuals, each doing our own thing, but connected spiritually but not in a religious way. We have connections whether realized or not.
Most definitely. Once upon a Time me and a friend experienced genuine telepathy for about 3 hours. The first thing we thought naturally was that we had gone insane, and some might argue that we had since we had consumed psilocybin mushrooms. But I swear to you it was not a hallucination as it was most certainly occurring. I think the shrooms just opened a door that normally isn't open between us. A couple of just small examples, you think of someone you hadn't thought of in a long time and suddenly the phone rings ... You and a friend both say the same thing at the same time But I do think that all being is connected. Sort of like we each have our device hooked up to the Internet.... We are not the internet but we are definitely a part of it. Of course we all have free will in the present moment to make our future what we choose of it but I think that somehow there is some consciousness that is aware of exactly how it all plays out.
Something I've thought about for a while now is a gathering, in person, of Political Forum members. For me it would be super interesting to meet people face to face. I think we would find that we have a lot more in common that different, and I doubt it would be as contentious as it sometimes is on here. Some religions believe that all life is connected, some of the native American tribes believe that. Makes more sense to me than some super powerful entity that rules all.
I did meet a guy off of a forum once that I had spoken with for years. He came and stayed the night in my side yard with his pickup truck and RV camper as he was traveling on vacation. He seemed about what I would expect because like I said we had spoken for years so I kind of felt like I knew him. I'm sure we have all walks of life here. I can only think of a couple that I would seriously dislike due to some of the particularly egregious things that they have said. But that's okay because I don't have to like everyone and they don't have to like me. Lol. I believe most definitely there is some form of a spirit within us and all other life forms that is definitely part of some greater whole.
Halloween decorations packed away. Had maybe 30-35 kids over 90 minutes, mostly kids of foreign descent it seemed. For all the bellyaching about foreigners, those families at least around here seem to be the ones that go all out for our holidays.
All of ours are Mexican (in fact. I maybe the "foreigner") ... many from Mexico (just across the river) it was great, they shop in our stores and pay our sales tax! So happy to see so many in our downtown area (it's a local thing, they don't go house to house here, they go store to store where they've spent their money over the past year, gives the downtown the spirit of a big festival.. which, come to think of it, it is!)
I do not know why people always come in here thinking I'm going to sell them beer after the legal hours of midnight. I tell them no and sometimes they say something like are you sure? Or try to bribe me with petty cash. Well, since I can lose my job and possibly go to jail.... Yes I am very sure. Even if I wasn't worried about that, there are 13 cameras watching my every move. I'm like justice kavanaugh, I like beer and a lot of it. That's why I make sure I don't run out and have plenty before sales are stopped. Freaking amateurs. And it's really not a good look to come into the store drunkenly stumbling into display shelves.
Yeah sorry about that.... We bought it all here at the store to make sweet tea with. And this is just what's in the store and not counting what is in the back office..
My neighbor went cast netting for mullet and gave me eight nice mullets. They were so fresh they had no fishy smell at all. They tasted even better. I am going to make mullet stew with what we didn't have for lunch.
Yum yum.... This is definitely the time of year to do it. The mullet are fat and full of roe and making the journey offshore to spawn. I would be doing the same thing myself right now but it's almost a 50 mile drive to the Gulf and unfortunately there is red tide and fish kills in the usual places that are closest to me. I'm probably not going back to the gulf until around Christmas. I may try kayaking a remote but fairly close freshwater Creek about 18 miles from here this next Monday or Tuesday.
