    Looks like Texas got their butts kicked again this year by Okla!

    But that's OK (excuse the pun) since OU's teams are always 80-90% Texans!!

    Heck, even my home team, U of AZ, is about 30% Texans.....Mike Stoops (Head Coach UA) and Bob Stoops (Head coach OU) like to recruit Texas HS players, where football is King.

    What do you put in your stew?
    Got some hot peppers to use. Have some in olive oil, plan on Thai beef tomorrow, so stew sounds like a good idea to use up a few more.

    Same as your beans, g/f... a little of this, a little of that. Chuck stew meat & some kinda beef bones for the base... cooked slow with onions, garlic. stewed tomatoes & water for 2-3 hrs... remove bones, add root veggies and cook another 30 min, add mixed veggies and a can of Rotel tomatoes (tomatoes w/chilies) until heated thru.

    Last time I made stew, I had a carton of beef broth on hand and added it to the cooking water. Made for a much richer stock... better than the pot I made yesterday. But after sitting overnight, it'll prob be OK! LOL, no one else noticed, still got rave reviews. ;)

    Where's falena with our chili report? Dang, hope she didn't get carried away with the spices and do her whole family in and she's too sick to crawl to the computer...
