Eye opening post. Now that the election is over I'm glad a little truth is seeping out.

 

Republicans have a horrible record compared to Democrats over the past 50 years. Market grew more under Biden than Trump. More manufacturing jobs created under Biden than Trump. GDP grew more under Biden than Trump. Unemployment lower under Biden than Trump. US oil production higher under Biden than Trump. For progress, you need net gain.

 

Liberals need a strong online social media communication apparatus to match that of conservatives. I noticed leading up to the election that right-wing shows like Bongino, WarRoom, etc. got a lot more views/likes as well as posts on X/Twitter. If you can't spread the message, you're not going to win.

 

The radical left learns nothing from election losses, and they don’t intend to learn anything. The far left hates America as it is. The reason they lost this election is the fault of the voters. The millions of illegals they let into the country are their future. The next push will be “a pathway to citizenship.”

The far left never changes except to become more radical. Once the illegals become citizens, the Democrats will get 90% of their votes. Then the far left Democrats will win again.

In the mean time the left will impeach Trump if they get control of the House. Their goal is to tie him up, as they did before so that he wouldn’t be able to work toward enacting his administration’s program.

 

You have almost every major newspaper, TV news station, social media sites, and university in the country. When you control all the institutions, your message has already gotten out. Your message is almost all there is. That's the problem.

 

And then he got to know him beyond the BS rhetoric you are still sold on.

Republicans have half of newspapers (and lib papers don't even endorse now), half cable news (FOX being highest rating), ALL talk-radio while people trapped in car, ALL Twitter/X, and overwhelmingly more posts/streamers. And like I said, their audience is only exposed to one false narrative.

in 4 years of FAILED POLICY, you went from the most popular president in history at 81 million votes...to losing the house, the senate, the electoral and POPULAR VOTE as well as the presidency.

Trump has gained ground in almost every single demographic. The people have sent the DNC a message. Maybe...just MAYBE...you should move your policies back towards center?

 

The GOP has the White House, the Senate, and probably the House, too. They don't have to be "bipartisan", as they don't need any help from the dems. The flip side is now, if they screw up, they have nobody but themselves to blame, which will mean a big loss in '28.

 

Why would they change? The Trump party didn't change after 2020, when they lost the WH and the Senate. No, they doubled down on stupid, yet, they got rewarded by voters with ALL of government in 2024.

The pendulum always swings. And these days, it seems to swing faster and faster, with voters getting more and more quickly upset about the party in power. MAGA owns it now. If, in four years, most Trump promises have turned out to be thin air, the Dems won't have to do anything to regain power. Plus, the GOP will really be in a lot of pain once the chosen one retires.

I'm not sure. A lot depends on whether trump was lying when he promised to bring fascism to America or whether he really intends to try. Here's another thought. Once upon a time, not so long ago, things like this happened.

So it's not all up to progressives. A big factor in the country's future depends on whether conservatives, or whatever it is trump supporters are, come to their collective senses and stop supporting a raging lunatic and his reckless policy proposals.
