They are not rich because of social democracy. Them being rich makes it easier for them to pay for the tab for social democracy.

It looks like we're all in the top 10 countries by GDP.

More likely the so called "Social Democrats" simply have a higher education degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) field and earn more money. It's well known that higher education folks tend to lean left. And Christians might tend to avoid the sciences in school because it might threaten their faith.

 

Are there not Christian social democrats? I mean, I know there are, but you seem to suggesting they're rare enough to establish the two groups as distinct. On what are you basing this?

I think he is referring to another party names "Christian Democrats", which do exist in Europe, especially in the Nordic countries
