....what? I am not appealing to the plurality/majority of voters to say that the impeachment is warranted. I am appealing to the plurality/majority of voters to say that impeachment is supported by a plurality/majority.

I’m not sure what you mean? At this point there is nothing to partake in. When the dems actually open an inquiry there is.

That was the formal one. There was a vote. You were wrong

Then why bother to mention it?

    Who should care?

    They're wrong.

Is this really that hard for you? One of the reasons they won't let the current diplomat testify is because of how the democrats handled the retired diplomats testimony last week. This is simple stuff, man.

Why tell me? I don't care. Your appeal to the idiot masses doesn't sway my opinion.

    "One of the reasons."

Sure. And one of the reasons is that Trump saw how cooperating made things worse for him, so he thinks that going the exact opposite route and obstructing is a better strategy.

Or, more likely, they are panicked and not acting rationally at all.

You quoted my post to someone else and accused me of engaging in a logical fallacy. I told you because you asked.

Only if you intentionally continue to misconstrue the reason that I referenced the public's support for impeachment.

So, basically, the trumpettes here ignore their own party's actions under similar circumstances and are creating and relying on precedent and laws that don't exist in order to shield their criminal president and perpetuate their hold on power.

Since that sums it up, further discourse is useless.

Let the subpoenas fly and let the obstruction continue. Dirty Donnie has got to go !

Dems have painted themselves into another corner, usually fires, riots, antifa, false flags are what happens next.

    It basically is.
Impeachment in the United States is the process by which a legislature (usually in the form of the lower house) brings charges against a civil officer of government for crimes alleged to have been committed, analogous to the bringing of an indictment by a grand jury.

Are you claiming that congress is the jury? Aka in this case Shiff, Cummings , Pelosi are the prosecution and the jury?

Even in that case it would be both parties taking place and that is not what is happening...

They are the grand jury. The senate is the real jury.

That’s how impeachment works. You wanna bring in outside jury to vote on the articles?

Of course, they can’t send articles of impeachment without a vote.
