This is where we are headed, feminism at its extreme. It is already happening in the US. No more competative sports, everyone is a winner. No more risky school activities like Dodge Ball, or any other sport that might hurt someones feelings. Boys in school are now discouraged to be boys, which is why so many of them are diagnosed with ADD. They just become disinterested in school due to the teaching style being leaned heavily twords girls. It's already happening folks, but I am thinking that before we notice it, it will be to late to change it.

 

Evolutionary speaking - hypersensitivity to gender stereotypes is negative, so encouraging moronic advertising like this just to cater to some gay guy who plays with dolls who gets offended over "male stereotypes" is counterproductive to evolution. It encourages never growing a thick skin and learning how to deal with stereotypes, rather than cry to bid daddy govt to prevent your feelings from being hurt.

Just to reiterate and clarify, the focus of this thread is not to weigh or question the normalcy of boys playing with dolls, or girls playing with guns, but rather to focus on the idea of a fringe group chastising and ultimately pressuring an advertiser to change their methods... methods which were totally fine to begin with.

There is no real reason to display a boy with a baby doll, a boy with a doll house, or a girl with a gun, other than to attempt a change in public perception. You see, neither gender is really being stifled or oppressed in any sense by displaying the norm. But when a fringe group comes along and insists that the opposite of normalcy be displayed, you've encountered a very clear form of PC fascism. This fascism is akin to puritanical religious fascism which might oppose something such as too much sexuality being displayed in an ad, or some other such thing. What's sad though, is that those who're in support of this advertisers forced actions, do not see that they're supporting the very same thing they'd oppose if the situation were slightly different.
