You are not serious, are you? Because I now you are smarter than this. Covid deaths lag new infections by about 3-4 weeks. Therefore, there is nothing Biden could have done since he took office to prevent the deaths that were already in the making from infections before 1/21.

In any case, the decrease in covid cases in mid January until now is only caused by ONE thing: No holidays, for which people get together for large social gatherings. In essence, there is nothing to do in January, so people sit at home more, staying safe.

Maybe, by mid March, the vaccinations and start of warmer weather will help to continue this downward trend. One can only hope.

Ah, another one who doesn't know that covid deaths are a lagging indicator. The people who die toady were in the making during the Christmas and New Year's eve holidays and parties. The community spread created back then is still felt today.

Second, if Biden had actually done something, like a lockdown and mask mandates, you would be the first on here crying about "freedom".

 

Once again, another person gets it wrong! If those numbers are a lagging indicator then so are any claims that Biden has done anything to defeat the Virus. That was his campaign promise.

And I am pretty sure you won't find a post from me crying about "freedom" or lockdowns. So just keep getting it wrong.

 

As far as I remember, his campaign promise was to handle covid based on scientific evidence only. I don't remember him claiming that he would beat covid within the first month of taking office. Neither have I seen Democrats claiming the latter.

Back to you, however: Are covid deaths an indicator lagging new infections by 3-4 weeks, yes or no?
