What you will find is that anti-gunners declare only the police should be able to defend anyone if the topic is gun control. But if the topic is police then they curse the police.

Police shoot innocent people over 500% more often than private citizens do in regards to potential criminals and criminal activity.

Let's be serious about the situation. It matters who gets the drop on whom. Not much else makes a difference.

One person went to a place with the intention to kill people and the means to do it. The other is defending himself (and maybe others,) after being taken by surprise. If the good guy manages to kill the bad guy, without killing other people in the process, he's likely had lots of training - a police officer or military. He is not your ordinary Joe Citizen with a CCW. Those that might be effective in a situation of mass shootings aren't the "good guys" most people mention when they make that statement about "a good guy with a gun."

Frankly, the idea of a vigilante "good guy" is just as scary as a bad guy with a gun, IMO. I'm fairly sure the guy having his truck carjacked at a gas station in Houston would have rather lost the truck than been shot in the head by the "good guy" trying to stop the carjacking. Too bad he didn't have that choice, since they found his truck 2 miles away, after the car jackers abandoned it. The car jackers remain on the loose. The good guy with a gun knew enough about law enforcement to pick up his brass and leave though.

Defending yourself is one thing. Taking on the defense of others can have unintended consequences. That's why we train people like police to handle situations like that and don't leave it to Joe Citizen.

Every vocal male anti-gun person I have known was lacking testosterone. Seriously. It's a Freudian thing whereas what they fear they lash out at.

Now obviously you comprehend what you read, so why are you pretending that I am implying something different? Here, some FACTS should curtail further attempts by you in this vein:

Since no one is advocating "grabbing" your gun if you legally purchased it and have no criminal record, you're talking loud yet saying nothing.
