There is nothing egalitarian about the left. Everything they wish to do is so they can feel better about themselves. It is inherently selfish.

Thinking themselves egalitarians is something both fascists and communists have in common. Both aim to achieve their "egalitarian" goals at the forced expense of others. The only difference is how many people they believe they will have to harm to achieve their ends.

A fascist recognizes that he will have to harm many people to achieve his "egalitarian" ends. A communist believes he will only have to harm a few. However as the communist fails to achieve his ends he is forced to harm more and more people.

In the end there is no difference between the two. The only difference is how they start.

It is the Left that seeks to silence opposition by any means possible.

Communist society is stateless by definition, and in that sense a communist society is an anarchist society (recognizing that the absence of the state isn't enough to qualify as anarchism), but anarchism and Marxism are two competing ideologies. They both have similar goals, but they differ in methodology.

Anarchists believe in the abolition of the state as an immediate goal of the revolution, while Marxists argue that the revolution should utilize the state apparatus until class distinctions dissolve, at which point the state withers away.

Marx wasn't an anarchist. In fact, he involved himself in bitter disputes with anarchists during his life.

Im very well aware of the schism.

However anarchy is the absence of government period. I dont give two (*)(*)(*)(*)s what people who call themselves anarchists think.

to varying degrees, that is pretty much the ONLY thing unique about the left.

    examples?

fascists don't consider themselves egalitarians. They viewed egalitarianism as preserving the weak. They were social Darwinists who applauded what they thought was a natural social order.

"Conflict is in fact the basic law of life in all social organisms, as it is of all biological ones; societies are formed, gain strength, and move forwards through conflict; the healthiest and most vital of them assert themselves against the weakest ans less well adapted through conflict; the natural evolution of nations and races takes place through conflict." Alfredo Rocco, Italian Fascist.

as already said, fascists were explicitly anti-egalitarian

Communism is a goal, not a methodology. It strives for abolition of the state, the abolition of class, and the communal ownership of the means of production. Fascism is a methodology that views the state as the ultimate entity, to which all else must surrender to, and in the support of a perceived natural social order in society. They are completely different.

You don't care what anarchists consider anarchism? You know better?

Anarchism is the absence of authority. The state is part of that, but not all of it.

You can think what you will about the Democrats. But fascism IS right wing, American definitions born of ignorance do not constitute a mandate for everyone to follow suit just because America does it. You can insist Obama is conservative, I really don't care TBH, I'm just trying to get American cons to stop saying Hitler is a leftist because he blatantly isn't.

What is amazing, if only because of its audacity at ignoring experience, is the left's continuing embrace of some BS paper definition that defies the reality of what we all see. In your case, "Facism is right wing" because I say so. Or "Hitler was a righty". Hitler, who took away freedom of speech. Who confiscated private firearms. Who put government control over virtually every industry. Yet you say he was "right wing" .............. you have no clue what right-wing is.

In the here and now, Facism and Nazi's and Communists are all kissing cousins to American liberalism. Right-wing Conservatism is most assuredly the enemy of all. The Tea Party is anathema to all three. And the Tea Party is our best example of modern day "right wing".

And as has been noted, its the liberals that founded the KKK. It was the Democrat Party that embraced white supremacy, and the continuation of slavery. That is fact.

Speaking of which, I do not believe you have made a factual post on this topic yet. Just the usual liberal "make it up as you go".

Damn that reality is infuriating isn't it.

"Fascism should rightly be called Corporatism, as it is the
merger of corporate and government power" - Benito Mussolini

And I think you can agree Mussolini should know what he's taking about when he talks about fascism.

And you know the symbol behind the speakers table in the House is the fasc, the symbol of fascism, it's one of the symbols of the US.

And before someone thinks you should be committed , try to understand Liberals did not found the KKK, although when you say that, it saves people the time they may have wasted on exploring your arguments....

    Fact!

You're right, it's rather liberating paying no attention to "BS paper definitions"!

Damn, this site makes me laugh at times. :D

exactly. It embraces the idea of the superior man, the one who claws his way to the top through will. Capitalism, in the fascist view exemplifies this process, as does the military. No serious historian or political scientist anywhere in the world would call Fascism or Naziism anything but extreme right wing authoritarianism.

Yay ! Its a goal, unobtainable but quaint none the less

though the clowns that want communism always empower the fascists in a dangerous and futile attempt to try and bring it about.

barring the fact that knuckleheads think they can use statism to abolish the state.

"...bet you wouldn't call Augusto Pinochet a leftist."

    Taxcutter says:
Leftist is as leftist does. If Pinochet ran a repressive police state he was equivalent to Stalin

Hitler murdered many Socialists, Communists, and other Leftists specifically due to their Lefist leanings.

Read about The Night of the Long Knives.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Night_of_the_Long_Knives

"Additionally, Hitler was uncomfortable with Röhm's outspoken support for a "second revolution" to redistribute wealth. (In Röhm's view Hitler's election had accomplished the "nationalistic" revolution but had left unfulfilled the "socialistic" motive in National Socialism.)

No, you're the one making (*)(*)(*)(*) up. I can't help it if you don't like the definition of right wing.

The spectrum you're actually using, which you keep calling left-right, is the anarchy-tyranny spectrum. I don't know why you insist on using the wrong terms but I'm telling you they are two different spectra.

The two spectrums should be more or less government control and more or less evil. Hitler believed in more government control, left, and was evil, down. Same with Stalin. Obama is on the left, but good. Left and up on the graph. To the right of these guys, but left of center.

the national socialist party became the NAZI party and its leaders weresocialists. How is this not clear as day for you all? Lets take it this way - economically where do you think these guys stand-

Goebbels vs Romney - who is further left?
    Ernst rohm v hannity ?
    goebbels v Paul Ryan?

Maybe that is how they do the spectrum in Canada but you are wrong in America. Fair enough? Left means government control, right means less. Far left is hardcore true communism, far right is anarchy. There is no totalitarian state on the path to anarchy. That is why the left here complains the right wants to cut government.

Same with the economy. More wage and price controls and subsidies and protectionism means you are left wing. Less of those things and you move to the right.

Thank you for adding to the evidence that the NAZI party was socialist. I appreciate that. And know that while both you and the nazis have the same economic policies, I don't think you will kill Jews, or do any of those other things. I think you will just rob your fellow man and enforce it with your own police squads and long prison sentences. Shower your rulers and their close friends with big cash money while the working man is losing about 40% to taxes and beginning to struggle.

    FALSE!!!

Conservatives fought to defend & preserve slavery, while Progressives fought to end it.

Conservatives set up a system of Racial Apartheid in the USA, known as Jim Crow, and Progressives fought to end it.

Progressives fought for women to have the right to vote, while Conservatives opposed it.

Progressives fought for a MLK holiday while Conservatives hated it.

So uninformed. You clearly do not know of where the political lines were drawn in the elections of 1860, '64, '68, etc. And that it most certainly was the Democrats who formed the Klan. That a higher percentage of GOP members voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 than did Democrats.

Make Google your friend. Facts are most stubborn things.
