Well the Politico source that you linked to earlier talks about Bush knowing about a threat from Bin Laden, not that he knew about a threat from inside the government. So I can't see how you can use this source to say that Bush knew about the attacks if you disagree with the premise of what he actually knew.
I can't/don't speak for Congress. They are currently in the hands of a judge who seems to be holding them indefinitely. I assume yes. I have no clue what Bush actually knew or didn't know, I can only cite sources. What I know or speculate has nothing to do with what Bush was actually aware of. According to multiple sources he was fully aware of an imminent threat and did nothing about it. I can only speculate that the official story was already going around in high places. Certainly there's a host of evidence indicating foreknowledge about the impending attacks, not just within the Bush administration.

Thew problem stems from the fact that you have an abundance of conspiracy theorists who promote "fantastical" claims such as Holograms ro drones and when they imply this they in turn absolve the CIA-Saudi-Israeli elements from 9/11. They just dont understand the context of their allegations in which they are simply parroting. Most people within the Truth Community have been fed many competing conspiracy theories and most dont do actual independent studies of their own.
That's not the problem. The problem is when the US government promotes "fantastical" claims such as 19 Arabs hijacking 4 planes using box cutters and fly them unmolested and with near perfection into 2 WTC towers and the Pentagon at velocities far exceeding VMO and globally destroy 3 towers with 2 planes at free fall and near free fall and one wall of the Pentagon because they don't like our freedoms. Yeah, it's bad enough they don't get that the official story is a fairy tale made for children but some actually spend nearly every day defending this ridiculous story to this day despite that the storytellers publicly admit they were lied to, denied access to the truth and that the story is incomplete and flawed.

No they didn't. The debris found inside the building was not debris from an airliner. It was debris from some small single engine craft. The only theory I'm personally concerned with is the US government's official conspiracy theory about 9/11 that's been peddled as fact for the last 18+ years. That theory is the pretext used for a policy of endless genocide and human rights atrocities, as well as attacks our constitutionally protected rights. And unfortunately it is believed, supported and defended by an incredible number of gullible and apathetic Americans. Anyone who is awake, has done the research and has a reasonable amount of intelligence can understand that facts, science, logic and plain common sense drive massive holes or at least raise fundamental questions about this unsupportable theory. The official theory about 9/11 is lethal while alternative theories are harmless, there is no comparison.

No, there are all sorts of apologist excuses for every question and contradiction raised by those who question or disagree with the OCT. What I mean is, that for every engineer and scientist who questions the OCT, there is another who accepts it, while being able to make an engineering or scientific argument.
It isnt up to just them to make the case for you, you have to make a decision on what to know/believe. That is not true at all. In fact there is not one legitimate engineer or engineering study or report that supports the NIST reports. The 9/11 Commission Report was heavily criticized by many and again no legitimate scientific/engineering study or report has supporting the 9/11 Commission Report. The vast majority of OCT support comes from mostly anonymous self proclaimed "debunking" entities who don't have the background or standing (or at least won't reveal a legitimate background) to defend the OCT. There was a Popular Mechanics piece in support of NIST that was thoroughly trashed in detail by engineers. The heart of their piece was an attack on "conspiracy theorists" that had nothing to do with science. Some of their claims originated from earlier NIST theories that NIST walked away from.
