    Business is business and politics is politics. Never the twain should meet.

    And when they do, there's typically hell-to-pay. Government has a regulatory authority over business. This is only right and proper - some companies don't know their legal limits and need to pay the cost of the corrective lessons that only governments can impose.

    Moreover, the issue that is most important is the matter of corporate-financing of political campaigns. Companies are NOT political entities. People who vote are!

    Thus companies should not be involved in funding political campaigns - which should be made totally illegal ...
