when the government issues guidelines like that, business worry about liability if they do not follow the guidelines, that is why even in my state where the Governor did not issue a shutdown... non-essential businesses shut down

it's too early to know if the Trump shutdown was necessary or not yet, you could be right, it's possible the models the Trump admin was going off of were wrong and the virus has been here since late last year, thus meaning Trump harmed the economy for nothing

when a virus mutates, it could mean two virus's to deal with or if they are close enough to the same, it would depend on which you catch first as the first one would create an immunity, like a vaccine to the second

and just like flu's, if they are different enough, you are not immune to future flu's

 

not all covid deaths were reported, especially the ones earlier in the year and late last year, they have checked some past samples and found this to be true, we need to go back and test more samples from the end of last year of people that died from sysmptons like covid
