Not to me. Anyone with 24 years of federal government service has a nearly insurmountable task getting my credibility. While the US was fighting an inferior force in 2003, it wasn't fighting against civilian women and children like the Russians are doing today.

Russia failed to meet it's own goals, and has taken a beating from Ukraine.

It's revealed a wide variety of flaws in their military. They were considered 2nd rate, they're actually 4th rate.

The corruption is staggering. To get a big military, Putin has sacrificed a lot that a modern army needs. Russia lacks a NCO officer class, and that is staggering. There are problems with supply, aside from their logistical problems. When you hear about troops trying to eat food that is several years old, you know that comes from multiple failures.

Putin tried to do a Blitzkrieg in winter. It's actually funny that a Russian would try to do that in winter. The armor has to be on the roads most of the time, where it is incredibly vulnerable. It would be less vulnerable if they had the troops to secure
the area, but they don't.

This isn't war in the way Americans think about it, it's mass murder.

1. The West realized that it could not resist Russia by military force.
2. The West realized that it cannot economically resist Russia.
3. The West realized that the Russians could easily destroy the EU economically (cutting off the supply of raw materials) and the USA (collapsed the dollar system of international settlement)

Soon the West will be begging Putin not to throw them back to the Stone Age.

That's a whole other can of worms. Russia has to transport the hypersonics by plane. That is a limiting factor. They are expensive, they won't be using a lot of them.

The fact that they wasted them on minor targets suggests something is wrong. And it's supply problems. Here's an example, their fighter bombers are designed to use smart bombs. But smart bombs are more expensive, and they have a limited supply for that reason. So the planes have to use dumb bombs which means the planes have to fly low. That makes them a lot more vulnerable to Stingers.

You can hoot and holler all you want, Ukraine has been an unending series of failures.

27 days into the invasion and things aren't looking good for Vlad the Bads of Russian invaders who have lost over 10% of their tank force and 5 of Their top generals and one of their top naval commanders. They have seen their planes being shot down as they have systematically bombed hospitals and civilian targets destroying as much of Ukraine's civilian infrastructure as is humanly possible turning it to dust and rubble. And still the Ukranian forces are killing and demoralizing the Russian invader's.

 

Not really, this guy is really correct, IF you are seeing this as a CONVENTIONAL war, like WWII, Korea or even Iraq, a war fought by regular Armies and with modern mechanized methods. The "tank wars" so beloved of older generals
Going by that Ukraine was pretty well completely defeated even before this war began. They simply didn't have anything even close to what the Russians have in the conventional warfare sense. It's like Dwayne Johnson taking on Woody Allen

It's not a conventional war, however. It a modern asymmetric conflict, the famous
"guerilla war" thingie. It's called "asymmetric" because one side IS outlandishly bigger than the other. It's like Woody kicking Dwayne in the nuts

And that's pretty much exactly what Ukraine has done to Russia
