Pretty wild that Dmytro Kotsiubailo, an officially recognized “Hero of Ukraine,” the dude who Russians shot in the video while smoking a cigarette was the leader of a “volunteer” outfit known as the Wolves. He had been fighting against pro-Russian forces starting in 2014. Thus, the guy was a deadman anyways. The Russians probably released the video on purpose to show the Ukrainians a valued resistance soldier was killed. The guy was respected since his outfit, The Wolves, were a group that weeded out those with Nazi, fascist or racist views. Probably a blow to Ukraine. But, in my opinion since most people won't know who Dmytro is, the West can use this as Russian brutality to generate more opinions favorability towards the war. Same thing Russia and Putin does. Just interesting how both sides can use an incident to their advantage.

He simply changes the record from right-wing attitudes (we are allies to fight the deacdent LGBTQ, we fight for family values, we fight against these feminists etc.) to left-wing anti-colonial records (lets fight the imperialist yankees, lets put the white man in its place). The media just called out Bolsonaro to be a Putin supporter, rightly so, but they are silent about that Lula is at least as loyal as a Putin supporter as Bolsonaro was. Fact is, Lula will support Putin's genocide in the Ukraine no matter what.

The media may call out some right-wingers of the democrats who allign with Putins, they will lay silence upon the so called progressives, who wanna help negotiating a armistice in favour of Putin which allows him to start a next war better prepared. Its obvious the squad e.g. would rather join the pro-Putin coalition with Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela and the other Putin-allies than sticking to the Western alliances against Putin.

There are Russian troll factories which fabricate fake news about immigrants raping girls to heat up the political atmosphere as well as they fabricate fake news about racist police men killing migrants. They try to manipulate every social and political movement in their favour. And Esau's arguments you argue against here is standard BLM/FFF/BDS talk which is labelled as "progressive" by MSM or Democrats.

Yevgeny Prigozhin is preparing to pull his Wagner Group mercenaries’attention away from the war in Ukraine, according to a Bloomberg report that cites sources familiar with the matter.

His current plan is to focus the private mercenaries’ focus back to countries in Africa, such as Sudan, Mali, and the Central African Republic, where Wagner has deployed forces. On Monday, Wagner posted a recruitment notice offering deployments to African countries that would last between nine to 14 months, Bloomberg reported.

The apparent decision to recalibrate Wagner operations in Ukraine comes after a series of setbacks Wagner has faced in trying to work with the Russian government to wage war in Ukraine. Prigozhin, who enlisted private mercenaries from prison, was blocked in recent weeks from recruiting from prisons. His colleague was also recently barred from accessing Russia’s military command in Ukraine.

Then, I wonder how NATO or UN will handle the Russians that Ukraine is executing. Both sides are committing atrocities, but Russia is by far committing worse it seems.

 

I'd say it's imperative that Ukrainian leadership hold accountable anyone who is guilty of such crimes, same as the US military does when such incidents occur. As long as that is done and human rights abuses are not officially sanctioned by anyone in authority in Ukraine, it should be fine.

 

I haven't seen any of that, but if they're tagging POWs that's a war crime.

 

News on both sides is heavily filtered for a favorable narrative for each side sort of like how world governments crush anti vax narratives.

 

Which is why you look at both sides news so you get some kinda picture.
