The initial rollout of vaccines coincided with high infection rates and ongoing waves of covid-19. The observed mortality rates were still being heavily influenced by the pandemic itself. Just because two events occur around the same time doesn’t mean one caused the other. Oh no, the spam-by-numbers antivax claim. The ones previously not reported are the ones that cause the tiniest reactions, sore arms, tiredness etc. If anything the VAERS is over-reported from covid!.

VAERS should never be used to try and prove vaccines are not safe. It is a tool that is meant to be used to monitor vaccine safety. It is basically an early warning system for detecting unusual or unexpected patterns.

VAERS accepts reports from anybody, including healthcare providers, patients, and family members. The reports are not verified for accuracy or causality.

VAERS has received some nutty reports related to side-effects of the covid vaccines. Individuals have reported that they gained superhuman abilities after receiving the vaccine. There have been reports that people have been turned into animals. One report claimed that a person turned into the Incredible Hulk after being vaccinated. There have been reports of death clearly unrelated to the vaccines — like dying in a car accident. People have claimed encounters with extraterrestrials after vaccination.

Some adverse events related to vaccines may go unreported, while others might get reported multiple times. This makes it very difficult to get an accurate picture of vaccine safety.

VAERS was not designed to establish causation Adverse events have to be investigated to determine causality.

The system was established to report adverse reactions which indicate trends to be investigated. And there are trends which should be investigated.

• It is analyzing the process surrounding VAERS reporting!
