A two state solution is impossible today. The viable option is governance by Gazan civilians with security provided by Israel.

The West Bank is governed by the PA with Israel providing security. Both Israeli and Lebanese civilians have established settlements in the West Bank. If you consider settlements to be illegal (tgey are not) it goes both ways.

I should point out to USVET that and I hope I am wrong, the US by back channels has made it clear to Iran they will not look the other way in Lebanon.

I am worried with the change of governments in France and Britain, they might turn isolationist and not continue their alliance with the US against Iran. I am also sick and tired of India's Prime Minister trying to suck up to Russia which supports Iran and the Houthis as if Putin will stop the threat to Indian merchant ships. India needs to get off its ass and join a naval coalition with the US, France, and Britain against the Houthis and Iran.

For that matter I loudly criticize my own country for not spending enough on its military so it can send a proper amount of naval vessels in this regard.

The distraction of the Houthis and Hezbollah causing chaos are deliberate tactics by Putin and China who all benefit from reallocation of naval forces to that area and out of Europe or the South China Seas.
