Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Wis.) is advocating for Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s salary to be withheld until EU Ambassador Gordon Sondland is permitted to testify before Congress as part of Democrats’ impeachment inquiry.

Pocan in his letter referred to "section 713 of Division D of Public Law 116-6 signed by the President earlier this year."

"As you are aware, this section prohibits paying the salary of any ‘officer or employee of the Federal Government who prohibits or prevents…any other officer or employee of the Federal Government from…communication or contact with any Member, committee, or subcommittee of the Congress,’” the Wisconsin Democrat wrote.

Well, this guy gets an A for creativity anyway... sounds right on point as well.

Any reason anybody can think of Pompeo doesn't get his pay docked?? Anybody even know how the SecState gets paid?

I wonder what the base purpose of this law was in the first place... Obviously Trump would never sign anything that he thought could be used against him....

This might be a fun distraction until the Articles of Impeachment are produced...

I'd rather get nothing than a daily colonoscopy by Trump... Enjoying yours??

Enjoy the next 15 months.. it won't be pretty, but it will be your last for a generation or more..

Nothing on topic? Did Pompeo break the law?? Sure sounds like you have no defense for it....

LOL, poor desperate libs, terrified to vote and impeach as their 20th hoax has collapsed faster than any of their previous ones did, they are back to their favorite MO of throwing totally idiotic temper tantrums and dreaming up absurd, petty, pathetic revenge schemes that have zero chance of working.

PS For some reason this behavior reminded me of monkeys throwing feces when they are mad LOL

Hmmm....Top Progressive huh? Here's what I think of progressives..

PROGRESSIVE IS JUST ANOTHER WORD FOR "COMMUNIST

This article is not new. What I have thought about progressives is not new either

(CNSNews.com) — Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) defended his comments about some members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, in their ideology and policy, being communist when asked about the topic on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal on Monday.
Back on Apr. 11 at a town hall event in Florida, West was asked how many members of the “American legislature do you think are card-carrying Marxists or internationalists —? And West said, “I believe there’s about 78 to 81 members of the Democratic Party that are members of the Communist Party — it’s called the Congressional Progressive Caucus.” [...]

Rep. West said: “Well, it’s not about me trying to identify any individuals. I’m talking about principles of governance and philosophy. If you understand, when you say ‘progressives,’ that is directly related back to the term or the label ‘communist’ at the turn of the century — that was a change in marketing, if you want to call it that.”
But let me ask you the question that you have to come to understand,” said West, “What do you call individuals that would vote against this country having a balanced budget amendment but yet out of their caucus would promote a constitutional amendment that would redistribute wealth in the United States of America? I think that is against our fundamental and foundational values and principles that we have here in this country. So, I’d be happy to have this discussion about ideologies any day with you. Come on down here to Washington, D.C., and also there’s a couple videos of me a pretty good historical explanation over about 4 or 5 minutes on that.”

I wonder what the count is of all the subpeonas this Admin has not answered. Trump supporters heads would explode if Obama did such. The man has no respect for the law, the office, or even this country.

Was the inquiry voted on by the full house? If not the Democrats can pound sand.

The subpoenas are invalid as the inquiry wasn't voted on by the full house.

That law doesnt seem to mention any allowances for preventing appearances, so that seems to be a failed argument...

Congressman Mike Pochan is talking like a fool on steroids. I agree with his objective but not his stupid method.

Why? He's on the house Appropriations .. he knows the law on salaries etc...

Seems like a solid method to point out if somebody is breaking an actual law vs determining impeachment crimes..

They're not prevented, just not required. It's smoke and mirrors to claim Trump obstruction when the Democrats in the house don't have the guts for a full vote.

They have no authority without a full vote on an impeachment inquiry.

Lol, so now that the Ukraine hoax has followed the Russia hoax, the Stormy hoax and other hoaxes into the dustbin of Democrat disgraces and failed coup attempts, they immediately find a new fetish to entertain themselves with, now it's Trump's exercising his executive privilege that's impeachable. Jeez libs are fun.
