Thats what I said. Got anything other than stupid questions that are clearly answered in the post of mine YOU chose to quote and respond to without addressing its content?

Irrelevant to the court case. FUNDAMENTAL to a political prosecution intending to prevent the operation of democracy that is likely to make him president.

Do you think federal court judges keep their orders to the bare minimum? I know that you’re going to fool the RW posters that you’ve read it, because they won’t read it themselves, but I know that you’re ************ us.

There’s no preemption! You stop it!

Whoa! Calm down my immune to reality friend. My question was really to gauge whether you reside in an alternate reality. I have my answer.

He agreed to pay off Daniels because of the damage that was done to Trump by the Access Hollywood tape. His campaign would have been kaput if word of his dalliance with her had come out right on top of “grabbing them by the *****” tape. He wanted to avoid embarrassment? LOL ! Uh, no…it was plainly politics.

Oh,and please read the federal order. Really. And this isn’t a political prosecution. Trump committed crimes and tried to cover them up.

All caps on the words "YOU" and "FUNDAMENTAL" for emphasis in my post was done in a state of complete calm

He never did. They even have the copy of the NDA, signed by Stormy and unsigned by Trump. Cohen agreed to pay Stormy. Come back to reality.

Read and quoted here on the forum the portion that completely confirms my assertion. You couldnt even provide a link to the case.

I wish you could see how ridiculous you're being.

    • tRaitor tRump HAS BEEN charged
    • He's BEING tried
    • The trial AbsaByGodLutely WILL run its course.
    • There WILL be a verdict.
    End of story.

There you have it. It’s okay to pay a porn star for her silence, but he didn’t do it! And it nothing to do with the election, but Trump wanted to avoid embarrassment! The timing was coincidental! Oh, and Bragg can’t prosecute federal crimes because of preemption and jurisdiction! Trump isn’t charged with it, bbbut so what? Excellent reasoning.

And my favorite part of the defense is that Michael Cohen used his own money to pay off Daniels, which no lawyer ever does, and Trump saying that he would pay cash is somehow fake! Describing reimbursement as attorney fees is true and accurate! Oh, and the federal court did not address preemption, but still remanded the matter to state court! The federal court forgot that Bragg was prosecuting Trump for federal offenses! What a big dummy!

????? Thats because Cohen is the one who paid the pornstar. No one denies that Cohen made a payment to Stormy

I'm saying, and you know it, that carping about the validity of this trial in any way is silly; you can change nothing at this point.

So, Trump knew it was a pay off, but the timing was a huge coincidence?

And it was for his benefit?

And it was to avoid embarrassment?

IIRC: Costello was paid by Trump to represent Cohen until Cohen decided to come clean and he also hung a pardon carrot before him or some kind of assurance.
Costello was also supposed to be the "smoking gun" witness for Trump who testified before the Grand Jury slamming Cohen every which way.
His testimony was blown to smithereens when prosecutors called David Pecker back to testify within days.

'Here are the witnesses expected at Trump’s hush money trial'

    snip:

    Robert Costello
"Robert Costello, who is referenced in the indictment, is a former legal adviser to Cohen. Costello allegedly offered to set up a back channel between Trump and Cohen as federal prosecutors were criminally investigating Cohen in 2018.

    'Trump Organization employees'
    Jeffrey McConney

'Ex-Trump Organization controller Jeffrey McConney was allegedly involved in processing the reimbursements to Cohen for the hush payment to Daniels.

After receiving invoices from Cohen, prosecutors say McConney passed them along for processing with instructions to falsely classify the payments as a legal retainer fee.

McConney testified at Trump’s civil fraud trial late last year and broke down in tears on the stand. As part of that case, McConney was barred for life from serving in a financial management role at a New York company.

    Deborah Tarasoff
Deborah Tarasoff, a former accounts payable supervisor at the Trump Organization, processed the invoices after receiving McConney’s instructions, according to the indictment.

    Alan Garten
Alan Garten is the Trump Organization’s chief legal officer'

Ive not even mentioned "preemption". Which of course is specifically why you want to talk about preemption in response to my post.

Was it down to Trump being a tightwad though? It seems to me that he might have waited until after he was elected because he seems to believe that being President meant he was immune of any kind of convictions. He probably planned it that way thinking that because he paid the hush money while being President, he was immune from any kind of charges from that.

Unfortunately, the Numpty is too stupid to understand that the covering up of personal behaviour by paying off an adult film start is not in any way related to ‘official’ Presidential acts — therefore he isn’t immune in any way.

The denial by some on this thread is disturbing. Trump paid hush money, Trump is not immune from prosecution. The jury will decide his guilt or innocence. The man is a liar, a criminal, and a male slut.

It is not a political prosecution, it is a criminal one.
If Trump is found innocent that will be that.
If Trump is found guilty that will also be that, except there will be sanctions for a convicted criminal as there would be for other convicted criminals.
    Everything else is noise.
