Trump Compares Himself to Jesus Again

Trump ought to be crucified.

 

I will agree with that statement. As a logical follow up - the only time a politician should publicly photo-op with a bible, is at swearing in.

Jesus never threaten government. Jusus was very clear his kingdom is not on earth, Jesus was not trying to be head of Roman government. But then one must read Bible to know that.

By the way, Trump is being prosecuted because he committed crime. Jesus on the other hand persecuted without any fault.

Very good point! It was only the Religious leaders (the Sanhedrin) who felt threatened by Jesus.

 

At least those religious leaders knew the scripture. Jesus was preaching many thing which were contradictory to OT teaching.

But today’s MAGA Christian – they claim Jesus is son of God and their savior, but when Trump, a fallible man compare himself to Jesus, they have no problem. they actually get upset when you and I point out the difference between “their savior” and Trump.


For me , if a fallible man is equal to “my savior” then , my savior is not worth following.

A lot of his die hard "disciples" will take his words literally. It would fit with their belief that T is being persecuted......and is not responsible for his conduct. (exceptionalism) Reality is that he is probably quite delusional. (delusions of grandiosity)

 

The problem with that would be that his disciples would make him a "saint" or some other out worldly being and he would go down in history as sch.

A total insult to Christ who preached fairness, humanitarianism, compassion, etc.
