You are making the brash and incorrect assumption that a deal was struck in Singapore. Trump did not announce any deal. Trump and Kim agreed on a framework for a deal with common objectives. Kim, as a goodwill gesture, released some American prisoners. Trump, also as a gesture, stopped joint military exercises around Korea. I don't know for sure but it is possible Trump, with another gesture, agreed to not blow North Korea off the face of the planet.
