Of course Trump is happy. He needs a thriving network of alternate realities in order to keep his charade going.

As the Trump reusable bum wipes at Fox are discovering the cost of promoting Trump lies, the Loser is absconding to more shameless propaganda outlets.

Fox News host Brian Kilmeade on Monday called it “insane” for Trump to kick off his first official 2024 rally with a national anthem sung by incarcerated Jan. 6 rioters and footage featuring the insurrection.

Trump's goons attacking police in an attempt to overcome the will of the People is a spectacle that normal Americans find repulsive.

It got treated like this issue was a Trump campaign event instead. Even though NewsMax was the topic and the article clearly stated that Trump gave the news interview BEFORE he went and did his rally.

They carry PBS, which pays no fees, is government subsidized, and has long since out lived past its mission.
Most people only have one “cable” service at a time, and DT is most popular where there is less competition.
Forget the politics for a minute. If they can carry PBS, they can carry Newsmax.

Why do you even care? I don’t like MSNBC so I don’t watch it.

So those subsidies aren't being paid? Where did you get that info?

If they are gullible enough to think that NewsMax had 15 million viewers, they will believe anything. Hell, they may even be willing to believe that Trump won the last election.

After his repeated losses at the polls and in the courts, and his January 6, 2021 goon attack on Congress, the lying Loser has been abandoned by conservative donors, senior party office holders, white evangelical leaders, Fox and other media propagandists, and proponents of law and order who respect democracy and law enforcement.

Only his weird worshipers swarm around him like flies to a pile of steaming trumpery.

Democrats are, no doubt, hoping he he will persist in savaging all aspirants to the GOP presidential nomination. They want the repulsive cry baby to work his 2018/2020/2022 elective magic in 2024 with his vile, vendetta-driven tantrums.

He will persist in bleating against the American justice system, and rage in denial of the will of the People as clearly expressed in the presidential election of 2020 certified by all 50 states, immune to fake elector schemes, and impervious to threats to Republican governors and Secretaries of State.

As usual, Independents will determine the 2024 presidential election.

A majority of Americans say the multiple criminal investigations into former President Donald Trump's conduct are fair, despite Trump's continued efforts claiming they are conspiracies against him, the latest NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll finds.

The survey of more than 1,300 adults also found that despite the love for him among Republicans, Trump remains highly disliked, continues to struggle mightily with independents — and 6 in 10 Americans don't want him to be president again.

Those most likely to say the investigations are a witch hunt were core Trump supporting groups: white men without degrees, white evangelical Christians and those who live in small towns.

Three-quarters say Trump has either done something illegal (46%) or unethical (29%). Only a quarter (23%) think he's done nothing wrong...

Ah. I see the confusion. The problem is that Newsmax wanted to charge Direct TV for the priviledge of carrying their poorly rated shitty network (and no the otherr way around as you seem to think). I think many of the people that are getting all upset have been mislead (I am guessing very much so purposefully by the Victim Culture on the right). So, yes, DirectTV could and did carry Newsmax when they didn't have to pay for it. When Newsmax insisted that Direct TV pay them, this private business decided that it was financially not worth it.
So now that you understand which way the payment was going, does that change your opinion?
Honestly interested in an answer. Because if you don't see this as government intimidation of a private company, I really don't undertstand.

And to your point: if PBS doesn't charge Direct TV and has 44 million monthly viewers and Newsmax has 15 million monthly viewers AND charges Direct TV. Which one do you decide to cut? I think your example was very poorly chosen (I gather there are some other examples that would have been far better)

Just for the record. Here is a link to the letter penned by 4 of the most powerful senators in the US

Trying to be cute about it and saying that no legislation was passed to force this is really disengenuous.
So, for the record, you support elected officials threatening private entities with investigations if they do not do as they want?

That's a letter, not legislation. Big difference.

How does the little guy get started when his success is measured against a government subsided PBS. I have no doubt DirectTV is picking up a few government dollars here and there.
It a David and midget Goliath contest with low stakes in rural areas that are probably isolated from the big venders like Xfinity/Comcast.
