I can’t stress this enough. Do not vote for Trump if you support your gun rights.

Under Trump we seen the most aggressive destruction or confiscation order for anything gun related ever handed down by the federal government. When he was president he signed an order that changed a rule that classified bump stocks as machine guns. This unprecedented rule change caused people to lose personal property without due process or without payment. Owners of the bump stock were given a time period in which they had to destroy their property or turn it in to government entities. It also stripped many Americans their right to bear an arm that they legally and peacefully owned.

Many people argued with me on this because they didn’t see the bumpstock rule change as a big deal. “It’s just a stock”, “I can do it with a belt loop”. Were just a few of the arguments I heard. My argument was it opened a door for anyone to go in and make anything they want illegal by changing a rule rather than going through the legislative process.

However, My argument was proven true when Biden did the same exact thing to force pistol brace owners to either destroy or register them within a certain time frame. So to say this wasn’t an anti 2nd amendment door opened by Trump is to say Biden’s rule change is likewise constitutional.

Trump also spoke freely and very positively about red flag law processes. Even saying at one point that “Take the guns first, go through due process second”.

Any real gun enthusiast that heard the phrase “take guns” from any politicians mouth would cringe with disgust, little lone take guns without due process. We would never vote for anyone who made that claim. However I find gun enthusiasts supporting him anyway. So I urge you to please reconsider.

Trump also spoke about banning silencers during his reelection year. Silencers are another gun accessory that is regulated under the same law that regulates machine guns (now bump stocks), and short barreled rifles (now pistol braces). Both of these were done in executive fiat so will he change another rule to target silencers? Why wouldn’t he?

Fellow gun owners…. Please, please, please, revaluate Trump. Please.

You seem to know your stuff. Do you know if adding a stock to a Kel Tec P50 violates any laws now?> Thanks.

I like Trump a lot. But I like DeSantis better... he's younger and has the same guts.

I didn't vote forTrump in the 16 primaries. I did vote for him in both general elections. Why? because JUDGES are the main issue when it comes to gun bans. Every justice picked by Clinton and Biden are anti gun. All three of Trump's justices voted the correct way on gun issues. Trump was mediocre at best but Biden and Clinton have a track record of hard core gun hating. Trump's sons are pro gun.

I am overjoyed with everyone's obsession with Trump. Both sides are absolutely frantic about Trump. The traditional "Silent Majority" grows from all parties now as both celebrations and protests go wild with Trump... as we will wake up after Election Day to find DeSantis as our new President.

How did that turn out for the bump stock ban?

who do you work for? As far as I know Biden still aims to outlaw semi-automatic guns. I'll give up blimp stocks (fun disclosure - don't own one) rather than all semi-autos.

I voted for Trump the first time because of must stop Hillary and the second time because of must stop Biden. Gun rights had nothing to do with it.

Biden won’t be able to get it done with a Republican house.

gun owners' rights is my main issue. I look at judicial picks as the most important issue

Exactly. I forgot about Supreme Court nominees. That's where voting for Trump really paid off.

I have noted that for years. true, he pandered to the yapping "do something" hysterics" over the bump stock bullshit. but most of the complaints were silly stuff like his tweets, his speaking style, his bragging and (rightfully) his piss poor reaction to losing an election mainly due to the (it now appears man made) chinese origin virus (COVID). However, one of my non political friends noted that what seemed to really upset those who constantly whined about Trump was that they were sure Hilary was going to win and he beat her. The economy was much better till the Chinese virus was released, we didn't have a major war in Europe, We didn't have the Taliban getting millions in state of the art weapons.

well I get the feeling that Trump appointees to the courts are far more likely to strike that down than if Hillary had been in office where she would have done the same thing as well as putting gun loathing leftist Merrick Garland and two more like him on the court plus filling lower courts with gun banning extremists

I couldn't care less about the bump stock ruling. Folks that use full auto ("Spray and Pray") mode attest to their lack of marksmanship and skill. In the Falklands war, the Argentinians and the Brits used the same FN small arms, except that the Brit versions were semi-auto only. The Brits won making each shot count while the Argentinians lost and ran out of ammo in the bargain. I take away from this (plus some personal experience) that well aimed, well placed semi-automatic fire is much more effective than "spray and pray" (hope for the best) fire.

the mentality of the ruling is idiotic-that if one or two nutcases misuse an item that 100,000 people use lawfully, that is grounds to ban it. I hope the courts destroy that idiotic ruling along with the 1934 NFA

Third party. Trump made his position clear on taking guns with only someone’s suspicion of a maybe very clear. I won’t vote for him ever again
