Regardless of what he did his first term; 0% chance that Trump would do anything to alienate any of the MAGA followers who are all 200% anti any restrictions relating to 2A

So - not dangerous in the least if that is your concern

i just want to announce my change of heart. I will vote for Trump in the primaries, and if he wins the primaries I will most definitely be voting for him. There is no one who knows how corrupt the system is more so than him now that he has been politically charged. I can’t stand by and watch without trying to allow him the chance to fight back from the highest office in the land.

I wouldn't vote for Trump in the primaries. But if it's Trump vs Biden for in the general election I'd have go with Trump.

Never forget! The, to you, infamous “Australian gun legislation reform” was brought in by John Howard one of the most right wing of all Australian politicians.

PS. Don’t be confused if you see him called a “Liberal” down here the “Liberal Party” IS our right wing party

what does this have to do about trump? yeah Trump pissed off some gun owners after the Vegas massacre when the ATF changed its position on "bump stocks" but does anyone actually think Hilary would have done less?

Just letting you know that just because someone has an R on their hat does not necessarily mean your guns are safe. The increasingly strident calls from Generation lockdown are making it inevitable that gun reform is coming to America

the gun reform is in the form of the lower courts applying supreme court guidance and striking down lots of the bullshit state laws that violate the incorporated second amendment

I agree with her on this one. And no I don’t think Hillary could have done this because the republicans would have sued the rule change as being unconstitutional. I also don’t think Hillary would have taken property without payment. Remember she advocated for a Australian style buy back. Not just a gun grab like trump done. Trump was horrible for gun rights. I also think Cruz was a better option over trump and that’s who I voted for in the 2016 Republican primaries.

I was emotional on this post. I won’t vote for Trump in the primaries. In the general if he gets in I will still have some thinking to do.

This is true. It’s a sad truth. A great president once said that freedom is always one generation away from being lost. I won’t say who cause everyone should know.

This generation was not taught the joys of guns but rather the fears of them. Gun programs in schools are almost non existent these days. We stopped teaching our youth about them and that may hurt us in the long run.

Odd, I don't recall a rule saying if a president is from a 3rd party they don't get to nominate candidates for consideration. Perhaps you could cite such a thing?
Unless you're saying the pubs would be so cross with a libertarian president offering originalist candidates they'd sabotage them from spite because someone with the right letter next to their name didn't do the nominating. Are you saying that?

If the choices are between Trump and Biden?
Yes. You're participating in a self fulfilling prophecy: They can't win because you won't vote for them and you won't vote for them because they can't win.
    Stop doing so.

Enjoy 4 more years of Biden then dude. And if Cheetodick is still alive to run in 28, enjoy 4 years of his opponent.

Further: Post 24 every single time I see you bitching about Biden, I'm going to remind you that its your fault we can't have nice things.

You must be expecting Trump to be in prison, by then... which would not necessarily stop him from winning the Republican nomination. I had originally thought that DeSantis would have the edge, when Rupert Murdoch started to throw his media empire in Ron's corner, and against Trump. But it turned out that Tucker Carlson had been playing the long game, and w/ the Dominion suit, FOX has found itself, once again, in bed with Trump.

I think DeSantis has been hoping that the legal system would take care of Trump, as well. But if it doesn't, it might even make more sense for him to wait until 2028, after Trump has been roundly defeated; not that DeSantis would win a national Presidential election, in either case.

But as for your post's prediction, for this cycle-- here is quite the telling sign:
Florida's Congressional delegation (all of Florida's Representatives in Washington), have just endorsed Trump!

    LOL.

Joe Knows had not been advocating that anyone should vote for Biden. He was clearly encouraging GOPers to reconsider who to support in the Republican Primary. As far as Justice nominations-- who thinks that Trump is a scholar of potential nominees for the Bench? He just took the recommendations of the Federalist Society. Any Repub could do that.

Not that it matters: neither Trump nor DeSantis is going to win the election.

Too bad he's what you're stuck with. You know that.
And in a few months you'll be desperately telling everyone to hold their nose and let the cheeto stick the tip in. JUST the tip you'll say. But it won't be JUST the tip. And you know that.

And when/if he runs for reelection as an incumbent, you'll again be telling everyone to vote for him. He won't do it AGAIN you'll say. Surely not. Just vote for him, you'll say.

And I'll be here to point it out to you. Maybe you'll learn something then.
