The "investigation" will continue, Trump cannot afford the appearance of interfering with it in any way so leaks will be made and nothing will be done to stop them. Some of the leaks will be pure fabrications and many just conjecture and implication based on supposition and suspicion. The aim appears to be delegitimization and this is effective, but doesn't appear to be spreading, just confirming views already held by some and not convincing others, thus it will just entrench factions for and against the President.

The "investigation" involves determining whether negative information concerning Hillary was leaked by Russian operatives to adversely affect her campaign. There are three separate issues in this which merit more careful consideration; how this negative information was obtained, how it was leaked and the substance of this negative information.

The negative information about Hillary that became public was both hacked and leaked. For the hacked information (presuming the veracity of it's reporting) there is a sound suspicion "Gucifer 2.0" was involved and he may be a Russian agent or acted on behalf of Putín, but again this is not very clear or without doubt.

The leaked negative information about Hillary is evidence she was either betrayed, infiltrated or breached. These all negatively reflect on Hillary and her team, betrayal (a leak) means an inside job, disgruntled element or frustrated blackmail; infiltration could have been by a skilled Russian or Trump agent, more likely the former, but either way it shows poor security; breaching (hacking) shows lousy security too and this could have been by Russian operatives.

Then we come to why this negative information on Hillary was leaked. It is presumed this was done to discourage people from voting for her, but this is only a presumption, that was the effect, but if the hacks and leaks were by some frustrated Sanders supporter or just a conscientious citizen offended by the dirt he found, the aim may not have been to get Trump elected at all.

Finally there's the substance of this negative information about Hillary that may have been hacked by Russian agents who could have coordinated with members of Trump's team or the man himself, and this is a fundamental issue. Neither Hillary, Podesta or anyone else on her team whose emails were published in Wikileaks has disputed the veracity of their content.

We know it is a fact that elements in the DNC colluded with Hillary's team to sideline Sanders, that some media also colluded with her team to distort their coverage of the campaign, that the "investigation" by agents of the Obama administration of her unlawful use of a private email server and other unsecured devices for the illegal transmission of confidential information showed criminal wrongdoing. None of this is disputed, these are all unquestionably proven facts.

I think the unquestionably proven negative information about Hillary is enough to overlook the speculation on how it was obtained and the possibility it was disclosed to favor Trump. I'm glad someone with the 'baggage' Hillary evidently has was not elected president.

If the Russians were involved and had not possibly arranged disclosure with Trump, surely by now Hillary would have lifted sanctions against Russia and recognized Crimea as a legitimate and integral part of Russia just to keep her negative information from becoming public.

Stop trying to place an equasion between RF and USSR, you were born in Soviet Union, or in state that has been previously part of Soviet Union, you may not like it - you sure do not like it - but that makes Ukraine as much of an 'enemy of USA' in your version as it makes RF. Stop. Trying. To pull. People. In the past. You fυcking. Political. Anarchonysm.

    Very interesting:

He says Russia will be having same type of elections with the US in 2024.

I've found my journals going back to 2009 the other day. On one of the 2010s, I read what I wrote about how presidential system would be built in Turkey (touching largely on merging parties to form a two party system as in the US) The result of the referendum we'll have in less than a month will tell if we are going to have such system or not.

The transformation of the west and western satellite countries like Turkey is obvious but the question is, will the world accept to have a mixed Russo-American system? Strengthened nation state fundamentals meaning large conservative political base, therefore turned more within than outside in terms of economy and politics, but on the other hand having a 2 party system. Will it be the answer Kissinger sought when he asked "nostalgia lovers" (Eurasianist bloc) if that's the world order that pretty much resembling Westphalian they truly want to stand up for...

Yeah, I (and a CNN contributor) laughed at Spicer's comment about Manafort being a "campaign staffer".

It's only day 63.... can we get past "the first 100 days". :please: I dread what will happen when a serious international crisis finally occurs....

fresh update , it gets , worst and worst ...not sure that Trump will survive year 2017

    "
US officials: Info suggests Trump associates may have coordinated with Russians
Washington (CNN)The FBI has information that indicates associates of President Donald Trump communicated with suspected Russian operatives to possibly coordinate the release of information damaging to Hillary Clinton's campaign, US officials told CNN.

This is partly what FBI Director James Comey was referring to when he made a bombshell announcement Monday before Congress that the FBI is investigating the Trump campaign's ties to Russia, according to one source.
The FBI is now reviewing that information, which includes human intelligence, travel, business and phone records and accounts of in-person meetings, according to those U.S. officials. The information is raising the suspicions of FBI counterintelligence investigators that the coordination may have taken place, though officials cautioned that the information was not conclusive and that the investigation is ongoing.
In his statement on Monday Comey said the FBI began looking into possible coordination between Trump campaign associates and suspected Russian operatives because the bureau had gathered "a credible allegation of wrongdoing or reasonable basis to believe an American may be acting as an agent of a foreign power."
The White House did not comment and the FBI declined to comment. Dmitry Peskov, a Kremlin spokesman, said Thursday the Russian government would not comment on information from unnamed sources.
"This is another piece of information without any sources which can't be commented on, neither can it be taken as some serious thing," Peskov told reporters in response to a question about CNN's reporting.
White House press secretary Sean Spicer maintained Monday after Comey's testimony that there was no evidence to suggest any collusion took place.
"Investigating it and having proof of it are two different things," Spicer said.
One law enforcement official said the information in hand suggests "people connected to the campaign were in contact and it appeared they were giving the thumbs up to release information when it was ready." But other U.S. officials who spoke to CNN say it's premature to draw that inference from the information gathered so far since it's largely circumstantial.
The FBI cannot yet prove that collusion took place, but the information suggesting collusion is now a large focus of the investigation, the officials said.
The FBI has already been investigating four former Trump campaign associates -- Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone and Carter Page -- for contacts with Russians known to US intelligence. All four have denied improper contacts and CNN has not confirmed any of them are the subjects of the information the FBI is reviewing."http://edition.cnn.com/2017/03/22/p...ssociates-may-have-coordinated-with-russians/

The only smoke is from the MSM that are owned by six corporations, and they all have the same globalist agenda... as well as Soros'. He alone supports about 140 organizations under the the umbrella of his Open Society Foundation in the US, and a lot more in foreign countries. Soros is the one who is paying the protesters in movements such as Black Lives Matter, as well as in all the other anti Trump movements.

He has 40 regime change groups in the small country of Macedonia alone, and the people are screaming Soros out. The country is ready to fall apart because of his subversive actions, and he is now under investigation by the American Congress because of it. It was his NGO's and regime change freaks that made the mess in Ukraine and Syria, and they have been banned in Egypt, Russia, and Hungary and who knows how many other countries.

Soros is also the one who chose Obama for president, and then Clinton... and he can't get over the fact that she lost since it destroys his globalist one world government that he has been working on for decades... This is why he is so determined to get rid of Trump and why there are so many lies in the MSM about him.

They're not fooling the American people though who are getting their jobs back. What Trump has given them in two months, Obama wasn't able to do in eight years.

Hillary sold one third of our Uranium reserves to Russia and she received hundreds of thousands of dollars in return in speaking fees. It's called pay for play. She was selling our country not only to Russia, but to Saudi Arabia and others by using her position for personal gain... and you know that.

Look, try to ignore all the demonizing and stand strong. One of the reasons Trump got elected was because we wanted better relations with Russia, and the globalists and one world order freaks are doing everything in their power to keep that from happening. They hate Vladimir Putin for not going along with them, and they hate Trump now for the same reason.

Our president is very busy now, he has been meeting with foreign and corporate leaders every single day to save our country... while at the same time he has to fight the 'deep state' and the corrupt people that have been in power for decades. They are obstructing him in everything, but Trump is a superman, and he will manage, and you will see how everything will change ...or at least between the US and Russia. As for Europe, who cares?

And have you ever written anything with an ounce of intelligence in it? But it's my mistake for even responding. I should have been more discerning.

US boards are filled with propagandized intellects which were weak enough to be easily fooled. So if he wants to post on US forums, which he does, he will just be tired of the idiots. I get tired of them too, and wonder how brains can so easily be washed clean of critical thinking, and then indoctrinated on WHAT to think. Reminds me of the modern left.

Of course I get my info from retired CIA, NSA, and gov't officials who served earlier presidents, the ones who were responsible in their dealings with Russia, instead of these bat **** crazy irresponsible neocons like Joe McCarthy McCain. And their parrots who inhabit political forums.

The US, our CIA has interfered in over a hundred elections since its inception, sometimes sending in the jackals to assassinate them, in order to protect the interests of our elite capitalists who suck the wealth out. We call this "American interests" as if it were in the interests of 300 million people, when it is only in the interests of a few rich men. This is the fact, but the brainwashed are allergic to facts. The general reaction is that they **** on themselves, if the fact is too inconvenient. That is why they all have this odor of bull **** if you get close to one.

Trying to reason with these people using facts is like trying to turn a true believer into an atheist.

yes of course, this is why we have the mess in the middle east, started with America putting Israel where it is and interfering in Iran in the 1950's.

So does that make it ok for another country to interfere in your elections? Americans should sit back and accept that is has happened, will happen again in the future and be ok with it, because the CIA has done this in other countries in the past.

Take no steps to prevent future interference because we've done it to others, do you really think that is the best course of action for any country. I know I would want an investigation if this ever happened in Australia.

But the US, or rather the American 'deep state' has always used others for cannon fodder. They never fought Russia directly. .. except maybe for agents like the Secret Service and CIA, or its subversives like the Soros and CIA supported NGO's.

You do know that all this Russia and Putin bashing is purely the media? The American people didn't like the Soviet Union because it was atheist, they have nothing against Russia and its freaking out the corporate globalists so they're working overtime.

Also, cyberwarfare is relatively new, it's not only hacking but taking advantage of the American extreme right, corporate America and the rest of the corporate world.

Websites like Breitbart made large amounts of money from Google ads funded by Corporate American and other companies around the world.

Some of these companies have now pulled their advertising money from Google, unless Google can guarantee their ads will not fund sites like Breitbart and other extremist or terrorism promoters.

This thing is huge... much bigger than Trump, but he is a part of it and it needs to be investigated, exposed and steps need to be taken to fix it.... steps like pulling advertising money that fund extremists online.

No foreign nations interfered in our election. Seth Rich leaked the information about the DNC to Wikileaks, and he was killed for it... and it's time the Democrats stopped obstructing Trump's nominations so they can find out who is killing these people. There are enough bodies around the Clinton's to fill a morgue. Seven in the past year alone.

Google is a highly influential propaganda site, and part of the anti Trump and anti America globalist corporate network. But then again you wouldn't care, you're not an American.

lol... militias. This isn't 1776 - though even they needed the French navy. Pathetic militias would be crushed by any real military.

Clinton was not given the money, her charitable foundation was, though it's unclear if it was an explicit quid quo pro or one of those unrequested "gifts" while hoping for reciprocity. She also was not the only one to sign off on it, and it also was not quite the same as undermining the election of the highest office. Russia was already a nuclear power.

Wikileaks is allied with the Russian government. Trump voters are the ones who are duped, which is really sad given how frequently and blatantly he lies. They just want to believe in Trump because he's so confident and hates all the same things they do.
