That's really not much money, if any, considering that famous political speakers do regularly get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to speak at events anyway. Manafort, in contrast, was given a 10 million dollar per year salary to influence America.

The army's opinions do matter, though I am not sure if they will stick with him if he makes major blunders based upon his altered sense of reality. Leaks are due to people in the federal government thinking he's dangerous and needs to be reigned in. Some high level military officials did break with him after that sub-optimal raid. They do owe a higher allegiance to the constitution. I have never heard that Americans being armed is a reason for us not getting attacked, at least not in the last 100 years or so. In the world wars we had geographic isolation, and that seems to be the main reason we were spared. Liberals do not want to take guns because of some conspiracy to suppress people - you really don't need to take away guns to suppress people in this day and age since the military has better toys than they did in 1776. Liberals want to take away guns because they believe they are dangerous and lead to unnecessary deaths. I differ from most liberals in that I do not advocate for strong gun control, because I have not seen evidence that it is effective in making things better.

 

He's bringing the corporations back to the US, and stopping company's from leaving by increasing the import taxes on what they make. That produces jobs. He is also cutting down on regulations on small business' so they can expand and employ more workers.

He is restoring the coal industry so the miners can go back to work, among a lot of other things. He's a high energy workaholic that only sleeps three hours, and was a billionaire when he was thirty-three, so never underestimate his potential and abilities. If anyone can fight for this country and not succumb to the corporate globalist interests, it would be Trump. This is why I voted for him and why the American people voted for him.

Unlike Obama and Hillary, he treats the little people nice too. The other day some people were cheering him when he arrived in W. Palm Beach, so he sent a limousine to pick them up and took them to a dinner at Mar a Lago... Trump greeted them, and gave them a red carpet treatment as well.

Import taxes does not bring back jobs, jobs will only return when people are prepared to pay the extremely high price it takes to keep workers employed to make these products. A 10% even 20% import tax will only increase prices, but not by enough to make domestic production viable. These jobs will never come back.

It is not illegal for those people to talk to Russians. The USSR is gone, the spread of the communist revolution dead, and Russia now is capitalist and Christian. We, our businesses have invested in Russia, our ex gov't officials and retired military are paid by Russia to lobby for them, all legal and common. This nation rose to prominence on the system in regards to trade the Founders set up. The scheme of free trade to send more to the top at the cost to everyone is has devastated non elites. It can and will be reversed whether you like it or not, for it simply is not sustainable, economically, fiscally or socially. The US has never needed trade to sustain itself, and offshoring the ability of americans to support themselves to enrich the elites at the cost to americans is greed driven. Free trade as we know it is the exploitation of slave labor in other poor nations, which the Founders knew would not build a powerful America. The powerful America and our prosperity came about by refusing to compete with slave labor. That is just the fact. Trade deficits harm americans, as it only benefits particular elites. It was a scheme from the get-go, and look at what it has done to working people, look at how it has increased the disparity in income and wealth. It was intended to do this.
