And yet Europe is directly threatened by this invasion. The EU had better wake up fast. Counting on the US to do all the heavy work is often a mistake.

How do you determine which part are the joke? Wasn't it sandwiched between the standard rant about the election being stolen and and praise of Kim Jong Un? Are we supposed to assume that was all a joke too. Maybe joking about using another nations colors to bomb Russia right now should not be considered in the realms of funny?

LOL! Trump is not the President. He can't actually order a false flag attack on Russia. IOW, it was a very funny thing for him to suggest. And useful -- Putin should be encouraged to think about China as something other than an ally.

I never claimed he is the president. Do you think he is the president? Is there a new rule that only presidents can be criticized on their opinions or statements?

Based on my own observations, there does appear to be growing support on the part of conservatives to confront Russia, however, that support does remain split. Some have seen enough death and destruction and think it's about time Putin and his aspirations were stopped, while others are content to let Ukraine fend for itself because the U.S., NATO and the West are not contractually obligated to that country and/or they are afraid of the war spreading and escalating.

Unfortunately for Ukraine, Leftists are running the U.S. right now, so the Putin Puppet Biden Administration will 1) do little to nothing that will affect the situation on the ground in Ukraine, 2) continue to buy Russian oil and pay for Putin's war, 3) negotiate with and enable Putin's friends and client states in Iran & Venezuela to produce more oil and help Russia evade sanctions and 4) bawl about Trump's words.

I hate to say it, but Ukraine is on its own, and I can tell from President Zelenskyy's increasing frustration that he knows it, too. Bottom line, Biden is afraid of Russia and so are his fellow heads of state in Europe, and of course, Putin already knows this. I think Zelenskyy realizes this as well.

Boris Johnson himself said that we cannot allow Putin to lose this war. UK has been a lot more aggressive towards fascist Russia than the U.S.
I think Ukraine receiving fighter jets and even getting it’s airspace closed is a very real possibility.

Who will enforce the no-fly? Who is willing to go to war with Russia? Politicians in US from both parties are saying "no way".

I didn’t say everything is worked out yet. But, just 3 weeks ago, could you imagine NATO seriously working on transferring dozens of fighter jets to Ukraine? It’s the reality now.

I see continued aggression and pressure at least leading to more advanced lethal aid finding its way to Ukraine, but no way will NATO ever enforce a no-fly zone. As long as Ukraine gets the stuff it needs to maintain its own no-fly zone, that should be sufficient anyway.

I think the jets are a real possibility but I don't know about the no-fly zone.

One thing I'm concerned about is all the attention and focus on the jets. I hope the needs of the army and citizen defense forces don't get overlooked in the process.

To be fair, I think Ukraine needs good SAM systems, not fighter jets, but you can’t tell what Ukraine received so far - it’s probably a secret to help with the war effort as pentagon mention SAM system deliveries to Ukraine several times. Ukrainians are urged now not to take videos of aircraft being shot down for the fear of disclosing the location of the SAM system, but I think there could be more reasons.
They just had a surge in shot down helicopters.
Anyway, I fully support SAM systems for Ukraine, fighter jets, and even a no-fly zone, as I am becoming convinced that Russia won’t stop in Ukraine.
I think our troops facing off is inevitable, as long as Pootin is alive. We are already a side in this war. All we will be seeing further down the road are increased escalations till someone offs Putin in Kremlin.

They're not overlooked. Even Israel have sent a mobile hospital to Ukraine. I don't think they're short of bullets either. But until they can have a minimal control of the sky, it would be futile to send them artillery or even more sophisticated system has those will be taken out from afar with a cruise or balistic missile.

Is Putin ill? Russian President’s health latest - as ‘ashen and bloated’ appearance leads to cancer claims
A top Royal Navy admiral claimed Vladimir Putin may have cancer, making him a “man in a hurry” to invade Ukraine

    https://www.nationalworld.com/news/...-health-cancer-illness-bloated-immune-3598600
While his sanity has been questioned over the decision to invade Ukraine, the physical health of Vladimir Putin has also been a subject of intense debate over recent days.

Retired Royal Navy Admiral Chris Parry said that he believed President Putin could be battling cancer, and suggested it could be this alleged medical condition that prompted the decision to press ahead with war.

It takes month to train people to use a modern SAM system. This isn't a videogame.

They have Stingers and now also the Polish variants, which are better than heavier SAM systems in the sense that they are very easy to use and are portable, while bigger systems require training.

20,000 international volunteers joined the war. Who knows, there could be people there with such skills.
Also, don’t forget about a possibility of sending Soviet systems that Ukrainians are familiar with, like is the case with polish fighter jets.

Hopefully such training is already underway, then.

Agreed....we're already fully engaged....just not "officially" yet.

And ...yes...Kremlin clown needs to be stopped ...soon! He can't back down now....the horses have left the gates for that.....if he did....he would be taken out by some other nutcase and continue on. Putler has to go.

Highly unlikely. Many are probably trained in infantry tactics, but many others are seeking adventure.

I wouldn't bet on it. And whatever older system that Poland and Roumania may have to give are the same one that were taken out in the first day of the invasion, mainly older S300 or older.

It is also why so many have advised him against testifying or giving depositions. He just can't help himself...

I would be surprised. The situation is too volatile.

Well, they wouldn't necessarily have to train in Ukraine, would they?
