    "When federal police officers violently cleared protesters from the city's Lafayette Park in June 2020, they did it so a contractor could install fencing — not to let President Donald Trump hold a photo opportunity at a nearby church, an investigation by the Interior Department's inspector general has found.

    That finding, published Wednesday, is likely to surprise many critics of Trump, who have long asserted that the president or his attorney general ordered the operation to pave the way for an act of political theater. That is also the central allegation of a federal lawsuit by Black Lives Matter against the Justice Department......

    ... [Inspectors General] Greenblatt found that the Park Police had the authority to clear the park, and decided to do so — in consultation with Barr — hours before anyone knew Trump planned to make an appearance.

    "The evidence we reviewed showed that the (Park Police) cleared the park to allow a contractor to safely install anti-scale fencing in response to destruction of Federal property and injury to officers that occurred on May 30 and May 31," Greenblatt said in a letter. "Moreover, the evidence established that relevant (Park Police) officials had made those decisions and had begun implementing the operational plan several hours before they knew of a potential presidential visit to the park, which occurred later that day. As such, we determined that the evidence did not support a finding that the (Park Police) cleared the park on June 1, 2020, so that then President Trump could enter the park."

    It's now Biden's department of the interior, just to remind Democrats. The actual truth, is as the report indicates. Segregational forces against the US were rebelling in the summer of 2020. Their goal: To disrupt and to dismay the American Government, no different than the 6th agitators. It was incumbent on the US Government to put down the rebellion, as the constitution ordains them to do so and with the least amount of force as possible.

    None died, none were even injured. They were evacuated.

    Go read the OP, it had nothing to do with Trump, they didn't even know he was coming. They did it because the crowd was not cooperating and the contractor had a security job to complete.

    Bill Barr came asking the Park Police if the crowd would still be there when the POTUS came. They hurried the process because of Trump and tear gassed the crowd without warning.
