So, if you had a supposed expert working for you say on February 29th, the 4th week of February, that people should fly, go on cruises, etc. ,,, and when asked by Tapper if lives would have been saved if mitigation started on the 3rd week of February instead of mid-March ,,, and the expert blames push back by you for the delay,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, what would you do with a Tweet from someone who paid attention about the expert who is at best covering his incompetent tail at your expense?

Which of those had anything to do with Covid-19 or its response outside of Pelosi who wanted legislation blocking Trump from Travel bans?

He has been complimentary to Cuomo and Newsome.....

He was taken completely out of context in a loaded question. Yes if we had shut down EVERYTHING no exceptions back in December the spread would have been curtailed more. SO WHAT? That was NOT going to happen. Let's stop with the playing monday morning quarterbacking, the woulda-coulda-shoulda's all for the purpose of hurting Trump politically.

We know where the blame lays, China and the WHO so how about we in this country get united to face this both from the medial side and the economic side.

A very poignant topic here that has not been discussed yet

We Need Politicians in a Pandemic
The conceit that everyone must bow to ‘science’ is not only undemocratic but dangerous in its own right.

The U.S. economy has been cratered less by the coronavirus than by the response to it—driven by the undemocratic idea that “science” should rule, even when much of the science and the data behind it remain in dispute.

We’re told in this plague year that politicians have no role—in essence, that the people have no real rights against consensus science, which can demand that we forfeit our liberties and suspend the Constitution. Political leaders, elected to exercise judgment on our behalf, must defer to doctors, because the viral threat is addressable only through medical expertise.

Yet since many liken fighting the coronavirus to war, we should remember that in war admirals and generals defer to civilian authority—to the president, as commander in chief, on matters of strategy and to Congress on matters of budget. This is not a design flaw but how a free people governs itself, even in a perilous crisis. It is how we bring the largest possible perspective to decision-making.

The demands of health-care experts are not greater than the demands of the economy, for a very simple reason: The health-care system is not separate from the economy but a crucial part of it. The health-care system saves lives; the economy provides everything we need to live. The damage being done to the economy—if sustained—could easily cost more lives world-wide than the coronavirus............

Trump never stopped Americans from traveling, Trump never order supplies

Trump has more then one expert, he asks them all then decides, trump is the decider, if he decided wrong that is all on him

this is true, when asked what metrics he will used to decide whether or not to open the country, he pointed to his brain and said "this".

How much time has he spent running a city or a county or a state or a country and managing the necessary things to keep our economy going?

Then why would Trump have advisors at all. None of them have experience running the country.

If experience is the deciding factor, then Pelosi would be the person in charge - she has experience with the top position in legislature for two economic crisis and two pandemics. Bush and Obama have more experience. We could bring them back for two years under the conscripts of the Constitution.

Was he supposed to buy toilet paper for the states as well? Where is it in the Constitution that the federal government is to dictate whether people can have 1- 2- or 3- ply?

Trump backed up the states with more backup than they needed ,,, excellent considering that Obamacare ran the supply chain for medical devices through an enemy by taxing medical device companies out of the country.

I said this much earlier in the thread "Normally when someone re-tweets something it is to show their support for it. If Trump likes the idea of firing Fauci he should just do it. He ultimately has the power to do it.".

I respect that the president is well within his rights to fire Dr. Fauci. At this point I think he should do so. Not because I feel Dr. Fauci is incapable of carrying out his responsibilities but I think the president has raised doubts of his ability to perform his job with his tweet. Over the years I have had to let some of my reports go. I think it is the worst part of my job and I feel lucky it is a rare occurrence. It is hard for the manager and infinitely worse for the employee. Never would I ever consider sending out a company email announcing my decision before speaking with the employee. You may not believe the president stated he will fire Fauci but by retweeting he essentially showed his support for the idea. Ask yourself this. If your manager or employer stated publicly that he /she supported the idea to fire you how would it impact you and your job performance.

I form my opinions on Trump’s actions, not interpretations of his tweets.

So you do not believe it is possible to undermine someone with a tweet?

How is talking about the re-tweet not on topic. Also I am just addressing your "undermine" statement above.

The title of the thread is fake news. It misrepresents and was written to deceive.
