Work visas and green cards aren't remotely the same thing. Please tell me you understand that. I'm sorry you are upset. I don't get why you think it should be more difficult for these people to come here than it was for your ancestors . . . which, yes, is what you are demanding. And you don't have the slightest clue how any of this works. If you REALLY believed it should be that easy to move here, you'd be raging at idiots like Trump. Because his side isn't as easy on immigrants as you are. Not by a long shot.

It did not happen, except for the federal government and "medical facilities that take Medicare or Medicaid payments." Furthermore, the point is that our friend @FreshAir was seemingly in support of the a plan that required proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test but is now implying a constitutional crisis for people to show their IDs to prove citizenship. The argument that I am making is absolute hypocrisy on their part.

What about you? Were you in favor of the state, local, and/or federal mandates of proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test?

There was no such mandate, as far as I can tell. I also do not support people having to prove they are not sasquatches in order to vote.

There was no such mandate at the local, state, and federal level? Is that your claim?

No. Please try reading. I'm sorry the concept of employer requirements upsets you. I encourage you to be an entrepreneur if you can't handle employer requirements.

What rally amazes me - Trump broke so many of his promises, so why he needs keep this vey illogical promise?
I don't have the exact number of illegals, but it is about 20 millions. Where will Trump keep them before exportation? How many agents, airplanes will be needed to expelled them?

I think his promise of mass deportation is as true as his promise that Mexico will pay for the wall or that he will close carried interest loophole, or that he will have no time to play golf:

We need to keep out the uneducated peasant/worker population of third world countries and bring in highly qualified immigrants like Elon Musk, Satya Nadella, Sundar Pichai, Lisa Su and Jensen Huang.

When illegals can just walk up to the border and be let into the country with zero problems, then one has to ask why there are millions of got aways and countless people who sneaked in that we don't know about. Why would they sneak if unless they have something to hide?

I suspect the problem has been on such an immense scale that an entire 1 percent of the country's population is going to end up being deported.

And don't forget that even after their parents have been deported, the infants that happened to be born in the U.S. are still eligible to attend public school in the U.S.

thread about that here (see the second post)
Judge awards $1.5 million to 2 border crossers

Some local people are not happy about this, because they're stuck paying local property taxes for the school district while the parents of those children don't even live in the same country.

    @zalekbloom
Why would Mexico pay for a wall Commie-la and Biden did not complete? Commie-la and Biden LITERALLY sold the wall material for pennies on the dollar....
look into your crystal ball and tell us which is more expensive.... dragging the bad guys out and send them home, or house, feed, and cloth them forever...

As we have seen repeated every day Trump was in office.... either he does or he does not... the liberals will always bitch and moan about what he did or didn't... it is a no win situation... but.... Trump "don't play that game"... he doesn't care what they think...

Who's going to take care of those infants? The left doesn't want to separate families so the infants get a free ride back to where they're supposed to be and that's with their parents.

It's ironic that you're telling me to "please try reading," since there was, in fact, a mandate at the local, state, and federal level in this country to provide proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test. For example, at the local level, New York City had a vaccine mandate, which required "everyone who enters restaurants, gyms, [and] entertainment venues . . . to be vaccinated." Furthermore, children ages 5 to 11 were "required to get vaccinated to participate in high-risk extracurricular activities. These activities include sports, band, orchestra, and dance."

Over 15 states, including "California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, [and] Washington" had statewide mandates that required proof of vaccination for healthcare workers for COVID-19. Finally, at the federal level, Biden attempted to have OSHA mandate vaccination to all those who wanted to work in this country. Thankfully, the Supreme Court struck it down. However, it allowed the federal government to mandate federal employees and "medical facilities that take Medicare or Medicaid payments." Let's see, that's local, state, and federal mandates to require proof of vaccination be provided by the force of the government. So, take your own advice: read.

You and FreshAir appear to be engaging in some revisionist history here, pretending that employers were coming up with these plans. These were not recommendations. These were not suggestions. These were government-enforced mandates. That's a big, ****ing difference. True, there were employers that were taken the initiative, but the government was enforcing these mandates, whether the employers agreed with it or not. That's the point. Now that the precedent has been set, let's use it to get the criminals who shouldn't even be in this country out. Deport, deport, deport!

So it's your position that if someone picked l lettuce they should get a pass to the front of the immigration line? Ans we ignore that they came here to begin with ILLEGALY?

Blue collar works hard. After that we have automation taking over redundant but back breaking work, and putting the kids in college to work for their loans would be a better option than just giving free money.

The question is: Who are the Illegals? Those who do tehe fries or those who pay them peanuts?

As a German this mindset remembers me to certain years in German history, some 80 years ago. For more information read the articles to Wannsee conference, Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service, Mass deportations etc. Perhaps you should ask some Nazis how they made them even pay for the transport?

Best strategy would be if you make your sons and daughters doing the immigrants' jobs themselves. If there is no hope for jobs those nonwhites would leave soon and nobody will enter the country anymore. White supremacy is, when whites pick their lettuces themselves, right?

These lazy Americans you refer to are those on the government dole....employees and welfare recipients. Cut off the free **** and they'll get UN-lazy in no time....or they can starve for all I care.

Showing up here illegally is not and should not be any guarantee of staying here.

Going to be refreshing to have an administration that actually considers the needs of American citizens first instead of dead last.... As an afterthought, at most and best

You should petition your government to take a few million into your country. We can spare them
