The access to edible or even healthy food is difficult enough in God's own country. So why should we worse an already existing bad situation?

THAT is the true new American spirit. Lady Liberty might just as well sink below ground as her symbolism is totally meaningless now.

The serious lack of serious creative and humane thinking is shocking. These immigrants escape horrific situations only to find a different kind of horror. (in the so called land of promise )

Given that DT exaggerates everything.........one has to wonder just how many "illegals" there actually are . How does he plan to round them all up for deportation ?? How will he transport them to their new destinations ( and where is that going to be??)

The character of a nation is defined by how it treats it's poor, minorities, and chronically ill , disadvantaged etc.

So how many millions do you think the United States should keep taking in?

Pretty funny how these back seat drivers from other countries think it's good for us but just not good for them

One should try and understand THEIR situation too. The US should not go around just dumping a lot of people anywhere it feels like. Because trump has not been specific as to WHERE he plans to send these people or how......other nations are left uneasy with the uncertainty or what ever plan he has......IF he even has one. This whole thing has NOT been thought through with consideration of consequences. But then many have made it clear that they don't give a hoot about that. But then for many , international relationships mean only that the US controls them;........... which means it can abuse them and the nations as it sees fit. The loss of respect for the country is significant. .......but again.......what does anyone care about that.??
If Trump is goingto do his mass deportation......(cleansing) and foster more isolationsm......then he better keep and get the US out of other nations and stop telling them what to do.

Of course the question that emerges is: which group is next to be : deported " ?? Now that Trump has almost absolute power....... better not underestimate him.

Money, to be their families, lots of reasons, The category and country limits can cause some people to have to wait 20 plus years to immigrate to the US.

He will send them back to wherever they came from. Obama's administration, however, is the only one that ever purposefully deported immigrants far away from their point of entry by design under the logic that sending them to places where they didn't know anyone would make it harder for them to return as quickly. Even they abandoned that policy as it was proving to be such a disaster for the deported people dumped with no money, no family, no support systems, no jobs, no hope.

I don't think this is gonna work guys. Many liberals in my social media circle are saying things like "Mexico will have to build a wall to keep us out". (and you know mexico probably will to keep the libs out)
I think we are gonna have to let Justin T. take care of it

The illegals are the ones who entered the US illegally. Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.

Do you actually mean to say that illegals are better skilled in math than their American counterparts?
    Weird.

Maybe if past generations hadn't spent so many years telling the current generation of young people that jobs like flipping burgers are just for failures who are too stupid to do any real job, or pointing at the guys sweating under a hot sun digging up roads and telling their kids that they should go to college to avoid being a worthless underclass peon like them, then said kids wouldn't be so reluctant to take such jobs.

Perhaps if we start telling kids to have respect for people who get up day after day and work a low paying job so their family can have a roof over their head, and others can have a burger without cooking it, or have access to clean water, electricity, broadband, etc, then maybe they will grow up to see those people and jobs as worthy of respect and may consider taking them.

I'd suggest another part of the problem is those who claim that jobs like flipping burgers are only "starter jobs" for kids to get some experience in the workplace and therefore they don't need to pay a living wage. It's clearly bullshit, some people will spend their entire working lives in what others see as "starter jobs" and will take pride in doing them to the best of their ability. But, when you tell kids that flipping burgers isn't a real job and only high school kids and college dropouts should be doing it you don't get to act surprised when the young person with an MA thinks they're above it. Of course they do, they've been told their whole life they need to get an education to avoid the terrible fate of flipping burgers. Now they're lazy and arrogant for having believed what they were told!

It's a classic bait and switch.

My ancestors came here legally and have nothing to do with current day illegals. But nice try at deflecting.

So USA can't do that but Venezuela can dump all their prison thugs here? You do realize the asylum system is a joke right? Anyone can claim it. Maybe they are kinder in other places? I think you should try claiming asylum in Venezuela and see if you end up in a free luxury hotel, but most likely you would end up in the human trafficking circuit. Also, do you live in a border state? Its easy to play sympathy card for illegals when you aren't in the thick of it, just sayin

I said nothing about making illegals and asylum scammers pay for their deportations. What I said was that we can get them out of our country for a lot less money than keeping them here on welfare forever! This effort will have nothing to do with what Nazis did to the Jews, and it's total bullshit to even try to draw that comparison, but you surely know that. Nobody is interested in killing these scammers, bums, and beggars, we just want to get them the hell out of our country.
