Close to home....I have a niece with a Masters that can'y give you a date of the American Civil War within 50 years. Bet she doesn't know much about our Constitution either.I have worked with Architects that have the stupidest ideas about building. A title next to a name means very little to me.

To a lot of us your evolutionary concept is an imaginary fairy tale built on the idea that you yourself are a freak of nature but have all the answers to everything at your disposal. It is haughty and narcissistic for you to believe that crap but you do. Your only proof is because "you say so".

This thread is another example of how pathetic Trump is and how ridiculous some of his supporters are.

There was never a war on Christmas. We have been free to say Merry Christmas for centuries in this country.

Every year Barack Obama issued a Christmas message. In that message, he used the words "Merry Christmas". Educate yourselves. This was his last Christmas message:

    https://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov/blog/2016/12/24/weekly-address-happy-holidays

Every one of the other 7 Christmas messages can be found online.

Trump turns peoples' brains to mush. Unbelievable.

I agree, the left has been destroying Christmas for many years now and Trump's fighting back.

Absolutely! The only war on Christmas that is going on is the commercialization war. That one, Christmas has already lost. It is not about worship and doing good to others anymore, it is about how the corps can convince the masses to go out and buy tons of stuff they don't need and they can't afford. But, as long as "ho ho ho.. deck the halls" music plays in the background, everything is fine.

Jesus would honestly turn in his grave if he knew that this is what has become of a "Christian" holiday.

Yup. Look, I'm not religious at all, and neither is my husband. I respect people who practice religion and support their right to do so. I know to many Christmas is about the religion, and I think that's great. To many others, it's about the commercialism, and that's great too. People should be allowed to celebrate Christmas however it works for them.

But this bullshit about a "war on Christmas" is so typical of Trump and his devoted fan base. Hell, even the Kenyan Muslim they all hated so much uttered the words "Merry Christmas" every year for 8 years, and it's all preserved in videos for everyone to see.

Faux outrage is starting to become a normal occurrence these days, led by Trump and his merry band of Kool Aid drinkers.

but that isn't a valid comparison, as evolution has a mountain of evidence to support it. your religion has nothing to support it.

    No, the proof is science........https://evolution.berkeley.edu/evolibrary/home.php

I am not religious either, but I used to be. One of the best memories i have is attending the late night church services on Christmas eve back in Germany with my family, when my parents were still alive. That was true Christmas spirit, not the "treat yourself to a new Lexus for Christmas, you deserve it" cra*.

Religion can be a great way of bringing people together. Unfortunately, it can also be divisive, which is the case in this country. That's what this whole "war against Christmas" rage is about. It is the "us against them" mentality where "them" is everyone else not Christian. This exclusive attitude has nothing to do with true Christianity or Christmas spirit, it is rather based on fear and hate.

My father was Congregationalist, and my mother was Catholic. They couldn't agree on how to raise us, so they left it up to us. We all ended up being nothing.

My grandparents on my father's side came from Germany and brought all of the awesome German traditions with them. To this day we celebrate a traditional German Christmas. I love it.

I think the "war on Christmas" is just a faux alt-right talking point. There is no war on Christmas, and there is no need to stop saying Merry Christmas. There never was.

Nobody forces you to have Christmas spirit, it's people like you demanding believers keep their beliefs to themselves. Saying merry Christmas apparently offends you.

Oh, ya, the lefties Stole The Christmas Spirit right out from under them...because it's so easy to influence righties, one clerk not saying Merry Christmas and they're devastated :roflol: What snowflakes....

...and you never had it....your empty one liner posts have never said much and never refute anything. (Attack the poster when you can't address the post :) )

And obviously you need the backup ( backbone?) of a gang which is obvious with your very needy appeal "So does everyone else""

    Can't speak for your self??

Care to comment on the Great Losses you suffered in the NON-existent war on Christmas??? :)

Nobody forces you to loose the "Christmas spirit"............if someone like Limbaugh who creates a fake war and tells you they're "COMING FOR YOUR CHRISTMAS"" destroys your "spirit"...or a clerk not wishing you a Merry Christmas destroys your "spirit".....then it was either a weak spirit or you are too easily influenced .

You don't have to keep your belief to yourself , NOBODY SAID THAT........just don't force it down other's throats.... .

Sorry if saying merry Christmas out loud hurts your feelings but it's going to be said again so you better get some ear plugs.

It was said every year, and repeatedly, by President Obama. I'm sure you were grateful he said it to you.

"AZ Fact Check reviewed images of the cards or descriptions in news accounts and found the following:

An online photo gallery of the White House holiday cards during the Obama administration shows no mention of Christmas. The messages on the 2009, 2010 and 2012 cards, however, are not visible in these photos.

News accounts about the Obamas’ cards during those three years indicate they also did not mention Christmas.

A Chicago Tribune article noted the absence of “Christmas” on president’s first holiday card, in 2009. “May your family have a joyous holiday season and a new year blessed with hope and happiness,” the card stated."

I'm not sorry that NOT hearing Merry Christmas from everyone's lips destroys your "spirit" and absolutely destroys your Christmas....

Luckily for me hearing Merry Christmas means nothing and doesn't rule my life ...

....where you got the idea that hearing "hurts my feelings" is a mystery as I never said it did so it must've come from your Make Believe Land where there's a war on Christmas.

YOU are the one complaining, not me.....

List all the actual thing you lost due to the imaginary war on Christmas....

    Well, where's that list???

C'mon, be the FIRST and ONLY person to be honest and LIST what you lost.....

My guess is that it won't change a thing. Those of us who already use Merry Christmas will continue. Those who don't will continue. I'm personally not offended or bothered by somebody saying "Happy Holidays." I don't see the big deal. It's kind of like the difference between saying "Bless you" and "Gesundheit" for sneezes.

tell someone they are going to hell or they should praise a God that they do not believe in, or they have no morals if they do not believe, is the same type of attack, telling someone they need to celebrate their Christmas in a religious way is the same thing

Above has a smattering of Christmas cards put out by the President. Looks like the non-Christmas (Season's Greetings) began with Eisenhower (1954). I don't see it as a big deal.
