Obama was referring to the public option vs private insurance, he never said he was going to force employers or insurance companies to let you keep the same insurance plan you had forever, corps are the ones deciding for you then and now - and sadly we never got the public option Obama wanted

Trump said everyone will be covered under Trump care... we saw what was proposed and everyone was definitely not going to be covered

Trump like Obama will get what Congress gives us, not exactly what they want, Obama did not have the votes in Congress, nor does Trump

Yes learning to read is the mainstay of "education". It is a valuable tool. Has nothing to do with IQ or intellectual capability. It also has nothing to do with "indoctrination" to an ideology. It is freedom. It so happens that our Creator used the Holy Scriptures as the mainstay and source of reading. It was the main reason for the invention of the printing press. Every one of our Founding Fathers derived much of their education from the reading of that Holy Scripture and it shaped their values.

many people learn to read form myths and fairy-tales, that is a good thing...

I think children learnign about Santa is also a good thing, it teaches them to question the "truth's" given to them by their parents and those in power

Obamacare forced citizens to buy a product or pay a fine....remember, "it was not a tax"....or was it. Face it. We were Grubered. The deception was overwhelming.

conservatives requested that be added, that was not something Obama wanted, Obama wanted a public option instead

I do not support mandatory auto insurance or mandatory seat belt laws either.... people can decide for themselves

I also do not support perscription meds, they shoudl be OTC, If one knows what they need, they should be able to buy it, if they feel they need advice, they go to a doctor to get it

corporate America has shown they can not be trusted with a forced monopoly by the government

Surprisingly I agree with you. However Gruber was a perfect example of the indoctrination that takes place within what is supposed to be "education". He was teaching students when he declared "it really was a tax". We were manipulated Universal Healthcare is a forced monopoly. The big lie is this.... We live under a Constitution that guarantees us the freedom to make choices regarding our life liberty and pursuit of happiness. The ideology that the choice is taken away for the "collective good" and cradle to grave welfare will be provided by those that know what's best is the deception.

:) If it was an endorsement of Christianity you would think Christians would be embarrassed by it, the gluttony, over spending, greed, football watching to celebrate Jesus' birth, all the greed, the stress , greed, domestic violence, drunkenness, Black Friday( a retailer's greedy dream come true) the opening to that CHRISTmas holiday....

    Let 'em claim it........:roflol:

 WHAT! I'm a "Hollywood connected Left" ???REALLY! :roflol: How did you come up with that ?!!

Was it because you realized I nailed what Christmas was and how it represented Christian views .....(bolded above ) :)

Another poster pouting 'cause I hit the nail on the head in my post above and they couldn't address it.

Then this poster comes to a conclusion she must've dreamt....that I claimed or said or stated that I wanted Christmas to go away. I didn't.
(why do so many Christians forget lying is a sin????, because they forget so many things they do are sins :) )

Then ,in a big fit of Christmas and "loving" Christianity "Spirit" she hopes this infuriates me since,
I guess, Christians mission is to infuriate people..in a Jesus loving way of course :roflol: Ya know, spread the hate...

    What? LOLOLOL.. Hollywood connected Left?

Trump has NEVER taken the moral high ground. Even now they have two disastrous project in South Carolina that have left contractors holding the bag in addition to one environmental disaster and stiffing the taxpayer with due bill of 33 million.

    = code word for jews

Any adult knows that when people attack "Hollywood", we know what they mean. It's a shorthand reference to the idea that the Jews control the media.

America is a society based on Christian values and letting Christianity and Christmas be homogenized into nothing more than an ingredient with all the other "holidays" is indeed a war on Christmas and Christianity. Other cultures should homogenize into us not us into them or how long will it be until we give credence to other cultures as equal to ours and start saying things like "beat your wife every morning, if you don't know why she does".

How specifically is society suffering? I love how conservatives claim liberals are too sensitive, yet conservatives are the ones who get all upset when a Starbucks cup doesn't has the graphic of their choice or because someone politely wishes them well using the wrong words.

FINALLY some one that admits they lost NOTHING in the mythical war on Christmas!! GOOD FOR YOU!

The left is NOT anti-Christian, most on the left are Christians so that sin of lying you may want to think about...

They do NOT pretend it hurts their feelings to say Merry Christmas...(another of those sins ;) )

They SAY IT! They say Merry Christmas....and NO ONE has ever told you you couldn't say it

Some retailers wanted to be inclusive of all their customers, not just the ones you approve of, so they asked their employees to say Happy Holidays...

......now HOW in anyone's imagination that would chip away at societies values....society should value everyone NOT just people YOU approve of...

...and the word , I believe , is "verboten" not verboden.

Oh BS! Christians don't own Christmas or any other holiday but if you want to claim """ the gluttony, over spending, greed, football watching to celebrate Jesus' birth, all the greed, the stress , greed, domestic violence, drunkenness, Black Friday( a retailer's greedy dream come true) the opening to that CHRISTmas holiday....""

as CHRISTIAN, you go right ahead....are you bragging about that?!!!!!

I have no idea what that garbled , nonsensical statement meant but I do know you couldn't address the post of mine you quoted...:)

Society suffers when Christianity is taken out of Christmas. It suffers when Christianity is just another religion and not the foundation of our country , it's laws and it's basic values.

If you want to know who really has ruined Christmas, it's capitalism and consumerism. Christmas has become 95% about buying crap and 5% about Jesus. Profit motives are what destroy the spirit of Christmas, not liberals.

"Yes shall know them by their fruit". Big difference in saying you are Christian and actually being Christian.

I'll agree on the consumerism part and the profit motives. The spirit of giving has been largely usurped by the spirit of selling.

On an individual basis I agree but on a societal level I disagree.
