Cohen is a prosecutor's worst nightmare (a convicted liar), which only goes to show how stupid Bragg is. Still, this whole case has nothing to do with actually getting Trump convicted of any crime; it's all about that mug shot.

So Trump was not arrested as the thread title alludes to...

We have an Trump obsessed DA.... campaign pledges to focus on Trump investigations, helped sue the Trump administration more than 100 times, and who's campaign was financed by by Soros with $1 million..

The GOP is asking for this DA to explain what is going... Jim Jordan, James Comer, and Bryan Steil of the House Judiciary Committee are demanding communications, documentations, and testimony from Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg related to his reported upcoming indictment of President Trump.

So why would they being indicting anyone other than Bragg, Stormy, or Cohen? Hush money is not illegal in New York. The statute of limitation has run out long ago...

Hopefully that's a learning experience for you that you should read the WHOLE post, and not just the title.

Interesting take on the whole thing

In a sudden turn of events, Cohen’s former attorney Robert Costello —no longer bound by the attorney-client privilege that was waived by his ex-client— testified before the grand jury on Monday. According to Costello, in April of 2018 Cohen repeatedly stated that the Daniels payment was intended to protect the candidate’s wife, not the campaign. Moreover, Cohen insisted that he acted all on his own and not at the behest of Trump. While testifying for over two hours, Costello said he realized that Bragg had been hiding from the grand jury nearly all of the files he had previously turned over to the DA that corroborated Cohen’s original story. Concealing exculpatory evidence from a grand jury is reprehensible conduct.

Trump did not say that he WILL be arrested on Tuesday, you did.

In context, what Trump specifically said was "NOW ILLEGAL LEAKS FROM A CORRUPT & HIGHLY POLITICAL MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE, WHICH HAS ALLOWED NEW RECORDS TO BE SET IN VIOLENT CRIME & WHOSE LEADER IS FUNDED BY GEORGE SOROS, INDICATE THAT, WITH NO CRIME BEING ABLE TO BE PROVEN, & BASED ON AN OLD & FULLY DEBUNKED (BY NUMEROUS OTHER PROSECUTORS!) FAIRYTALE, THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!,"

You will undoubtedly try to act as if that difference means nothing, but it most certainly does. What he did was report what leaks he was hearing, rather than saying definitively that it is going to happen. Being that he was not arrested on Tuesday does NOT mean that he lied about the leaks, rather it means that the leaks were not exactly accurate. You could try to argue that he was lying about the leak, but you have no actual proof of that assertion.

    [Bold to highlight]
It still sounds to me like he did.

Oh! So according to you Trump wanted them to protest, not for him being arrested, but because there were leaks.

    Ridiculous!

It sounds to you like he did? Do you not pay any attention context?

It is one run-on sentence, despite the fact that you chose to bold and highlight just one part of it. In that full sentence, he says that illegal leaks indicate that he will be arrested on Tuesday. There is nothing there to legitimately argue. He very clearly specified that according to illegal leaks he will be arrested on Tuesday.

....and NO, I am NOT saying that he wanted protests because of illegal leaks. He wanted protests for what those illegal leaks are indicating.

It is hard to believe that you are putting forth your position with a straight face. There is no way you honestly believe your position.

Hope it's a learning experience for you to not erase half of people's post to change the context of what they said.

Your second to last paragraph in you're opening post clearly states that you believe he would be arrested yesterday

Except we know the letter is false. Cohen WAS reimbursed by Trump. We have the literal receipts.

You going to believe a known convicted liar? Trump paid him more than $130,000. Was it all for hush money?

Even if you allow that Trump reimbursed Cohen to shut up Stormy the money came through Trump's company, not from campaign funds. This is a nothing burger, which was why the Feds dropped the case. I realize we're spoiling the lefties victory party, but facts are facts. Bragg will look like an ass bringing this case to trial, but that mug shot of DJT is priceless.
