No worries. I appreciate our polite discussions. I didn't vote for Trump and really don't like the guy, but if I had to vote today, he would be the lesser of evils. Your prediction is noted and you may get to say "I told you so!" soon.

    I hope today was better.

Some of the polls in this thread suck. Polls need to be simple and transparent, and some on this thread aren't. They look like something a bunch of millennial nerds would create; just a bunch of glitz with no substance.

Here's a poll with some consistency and credibility to it.

    http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/current_events/politics/prez_track_aug29

Trump's approval rating is at about 47%. Not good, but not all that bad either, considering all the trash people throw on him every day.

These polls suck he says as he plucks out the highest one Trump has had from a known pollster with a right wing bias and poor perfomance.

    upload_2019-8-29_16-58-32.png
Even FAUX has him at 43%.

Which final poll was most accurate in 2016?

    https://thehill.com/media/306721-rasmussen-calls-itself-most-accurate-pollster-of-2016

(From Wikipedia) 2016. Rasmussen Reports' final White House Watch survey showed Democrat Hillary Clinton with a 2.0% Popular Vote lead over Republican Donald Trump. After all 136+ million U.S. votes were counted, Hillary Clinton led the Popular Vote by 2.1%.

    I rest my case.

Let's see now . . . the very same polling companies which heavily donated to the DNC back in 2016 -- while almost not at all to the RNC -- and which consistently had Hillary ahead of Trump by fourteen points until the last two weeks of the campaign are once again telling GOPers to just stay home for the election and not even bother to vote since it will be [some Dem Party candidate to be announced] who's GUARANTEED to win the presidency by a blowout.

Meanwhile Trump is the ONLY PERSON routinely filling huge venues with overflowing crowds of supporters. Those clown car candidates -- one of whom is somehow GUARANTEED to win? They can't even fill up the seating capacity in a Starbucks. So . . . yawn!

I really wish everyone would stop reminding his cultish base how poorly he is doing, all it’s going to do is drive out more of the people that are overly confident.

Everyone not in the cult of trump can see the picture, let’s let them ignore it until Election Day.

    It's true....
    Everyone likes a circus. :)
I'm reminded how the righties laughed at Obama campaigning to 7 - 800 people in So. Cal. in 2018.
We all know how that turned out don't we.

You only need to see how many So. Cal. congressional seats he flipped in 2018 to answer your question

I don’t think most people are thinking of these things, even though they should be. I think people are coming to realize that trump just an unlikeable a hole. For many people that is enough to sway their vote.

So you just I understand, you're using Calfornia, a state that has lost its mind and is a democratic strong hold, which no Republican has carried in almost 35 years to predict a presidential election. I just want to make sure we're both on the same page here

If they're so biased, why were they the most accurate in 2016?

Polls are just make believe propaganda designed to show certain views. They are usually pulled out of thin air. The only relevant polls are the ones that show the amount of support a candidate might get in States that will give 270 electoral votes.

FOX and Gravis also got it. Several were within the margin of error.
I hope you don't make all you decisions based on a sample of one, because Rasmussen doesn't have a very good track record.

When will people get it through their skulls that the only poll that counts is the one that measures Electoral College votes? Polls that measure the popular vote in Presidential elections are meaningless.
