The North didn't start the civil war, the South did by firing on Fort Sumpter. If the South had not done that, I believe, to this day, we would be a dvided America, the Confederacy would still be in existance, and the West would still be territories of either North or South with the exception of California.

 

I don't see a double standard. I have no qualms from left or right to seek redress in a legal way. I may not agree with their cause or think their cause has merit, but they have that right no matter what. It is why both the DNC and the RNC use the court system to try to seek those redresses. It is also why we have elections. It is also why we protest, within limits.

I draw the line of who, exactly, and specifically, who violates those rights. I do not, unlike you do, make gross generalizations on groups simply based on political propaganda. You are the one who shows the doubltg standard each and every time you post on this subject

the purpose of the rioting tourists in the capital was to create so much chaos, that offical standard procedure could not carry on, allowing extraordinary messure to occur for example tossing the results of the election towards the house and senate allowing congress people to pick the president, as a leftists i have known this since day one, and this is just another example of trump USING his followers

Answer your own question... I'd like to know your own answer.. "why didn't the capital police start arresting the rioters in the building?" Why were the people in the Capitol in the first place.... 10,000 guards would have went a long way that day, the ones Trump authorized... It is beyond my thinking to say why the trespassing Capitol protester were not being arrested, looks like it could be lack security which was the responsibility of the Capitol Police and the overseers in Congress like Pelosi and her ilk... they are responsible for Capitol security... it was their job, they failed.. Do you think Pelosi will be asked about her role in the guard not being there? Pelosi said she knew it was going to happen.... will the committee sit her down and question her on it?
Pelosi literally said she "I've been waiting for this. trespassing on Capitol grounds" during her strange photo shoot by her daughter.... that is a very odd comment for someone who did not take actions to prevent it....


They had Chansley in an empty hall by himself.... they had every opportunity to get him then.. they were helping him...

The north had already tolerated previous attacks by the slave state traitors. Sumter wasn't actually the first. The slave states provoked the war. And, yes, they referred to themselves as "the slave states" when seceding. That's not my "opinion man." That's basic history. There is video of the violent Trump mob smashing in windows, busting down doors, chanting death threats, and violently attacking law enforcement. Tough luck. I'm sorry the facts are so upsetting for your case.

So your options are that 1) You think that all violent rioting is acceptable 2) You think that no violent rioting is acceptable or 3) You are "cherry picking" as well. Which is it? We both know where you will fall.

None of the riots in question are acceptable based on the truth of the situation.
