UNITED NATIONS: US Ambassador Nikki Haley urged the UN Security Council on Thursday to ratchet up pressure on Russia to end sieges in Syria and help advance peace talks.

“All eyes and all pressure now need to go to Russia, because they are the ones who could stop this if they wanted to,” Haley told a council meeting on the worsening humanitarian crisis in Syria.

Haley argued that years of appeals to Bashar al-Assad to allow aid deliveries to reach civilians in besieged areas had failed and that the focus must now squarely be on the Syrian president’s main ally.

“Who’s the one member-state who continues to protect the regime that is keeping this humanitarian assistance from going through?” asked Haley.

“Russia must live up to its promise to deliver real peace talks and a real political solution,” said the US envoy.

Mind you no mention of the hundreds of civilians being killed in Mosul with the coalition bombing and the 400 thousand trapped there which is freaking out the UN. Yet for the 30 thousand that were trapped in the terrorists stronghold in E Alleppo, and which took Assad forever to clean out so he could minimize the civilian casualties, the propaganda networks never stopped with the demonizing..

Nor is there mention of the tons of humanitarian aid by Russia to the Syrian people, while the US has given ne'er a penny... if one should wonder why they love Vladimir Putin. But then again the Russians were told by the Americans when they went in that every good they do in Syria will be twisted by their propaganda networks and they will turn them into the aggressors in the foreign press. Human lives and suffering means nothing to them, only how much they can get away with by deceiving the public. True sociopaths.

Oh ffs not the Syria/Russia thing again! If it were possible I'd temporarily remove Assad and Putin from the scenario and hand the whole shebang over to the US and see what happens to Syria then!! I'll speculate that by the following weekend Islamic State would have its precious Caliphate up and running.

 

Look, every state has its own "realities". Turkiye for example can't be put on a course other than a unitary-secular-state one. It was tried with great efforts started from 2002 and ended in 2015. It is slowly getting back to its original course and it will take some time because the damage is too great. There are deeply rooted social dynamics within each state and they are led by, if not owned by, certain forces and cliques, that open diplomacy cannot infiltrate in. The US is no different. Its realities "captured" Trump, did not allow him being the foreign agent POTUS, forced a cabinet change, threatened him with impeachment, treason, etc. America's realities are giving a clear message to all of us, "you can't make the US a Westphalia-friendly state". Russia's own realities dictated an original course for the Russian state as well. Remember when the west was trying to turn Russia into a "globalist, western-friendly, open" state when Yeltsin was the president and how strongly the realities of Russia resisted to it. These realities can be tested, challenged but can never ever be changed over night. It's not that easy. Adaptation takes time, a long time. Let alone that, the world today is so far away from the "adaptation stage". All we have is clash of "theories" out of which a "global course" is expected to be emerging "practicality" to build the new world order !

 

You do not need even to speculate what would happen to Syria if Assad and Putin quit the business there-Islamic State with bunch of terrorists ruling the area full of chaos and sending their members all over the world to make the other countries busy with security.

We don't have any plans to take over the world. That is what you fail to see every time

 

Trump is pleasing his supporters in domestic issues, but in order to get anything done he is bowing down to the war mongering 'deep state' in foreign policy and heading us into a war with Russia... something his voters did not want.

We are Russia's enemy for it's refusal to bow down to us, but Russia is not our enemy. They are only doing what is best for their own people while helping other nations maintain their sovereignty while under US pressure. Of course that puts them in our crosshairs since independence of thoughts and actions are not tolerated.
