is woke a harmless good natured insult like when i'm called a "commie?" or is it closer to "cult?" a word that has piled points on many of us, including me, as the right continues it's cancel cult ure offensive.

 

I'd describe the term "woke" as social justice "warriors", basically acknowledging "obvious" and "pervasive" systemic injustices, an example, the poor having much less representation than the rich in the criminal justice system where all should be the same in the eyes of justice. The far RW has perverted it to encompass all of their obvious grievances embedded in their biases.

Therefore, on its face, your statement is preposterous-- made all the less credible, by the fact that you do not support your beyond hyperbolic allegation, with any argument, whatsoever.

The boundaries of this term are somewhat ambiguous, and subjective. You appear to only be applying it to the most extreme, of a much broader group. IOW, to propose such a propagandistic manner, for any to seriously consider as representing the woke mentality, you would need give actual examples of the sort of behavior, to which you're referring-- and what type of "woke," opinions or concepts, you are excluding.

Maintaining that any American who perceives there being, for example, any systemic racism, anywhere in our society, means that he is bent on the destruction of "every other human loyalty," within our country's culture, is obviously no more than a farcical lampooning, of the very attitude you are expressing.
