Curious how all claims about God(s) said this or said that come from books written by humans. Where is the book written by God?
Prophets of all religions are said to be speaking/writing god's words. Outside their religion, prophets struggle for respect. Judaism sees the prophets of the new testament, the apostles, Jesus etc., as heretics.
Almost everyone I know that is religious is a conservative Christian. Today they would likely believe that someone currently standing on a street corner ranting the directly received word of an invisible God is a crazy person. But someone ranting on a street corner 3000 years ago was providing the word of God. I can't grasp the logic at work here. It seems like God could cut out the middle man and provide his word directly to say a computer or iPhone.

Yes I'm sure they were expecting serious resistance from a crowd of unarmed Israeli teenagers at a concert. You see the thing is when you go and sucker punch somebody and they turn around and they punch you back 10 times harder and 10 times more.... You don't get to complain and play the victim
