Government should always be secular. That way, people can indulge in whatever superstitous fantasies they like.
But - there's always a but - they can't impose those fantasies on other people, and some ceremonies are banned, such as burning heretics at the stake, death for apostasy, and human sacrifice, among others.
Also, religious bodies should behave themselves and not indulge in child abuse or other crimes.

    Oh?
    Really????

Then how come the guv made a religious law banning the religious practice of polygamy???

Then how come the guv made religious law to force Christians to bake gay wedding and birthday cakes???

How come your alleged 'secular' guv crossed the line to make religious laws?

Clearly you have only 'alleged' proven points to laugh at, iow a fantasy you hold in your mind with nothing proven at all.

    No I dont agree.

You do not need a deity to have a religion, I have proven that countless times on here, why arent you paying attention?

    sec·u·lar
    adjective: secular
    1.
denoting attitudes, activities, or other things that have no religious or spiritual basis.

Seems we live in a religious world, including da guv!

    What is religion?

Religion is best characterized as the non-empirical homologue of ideological beliefs, by contrast with science or philosophy the cognitive interest is no longer primary, but gives way to the evaluative interest.

Acceptance of a religious belief is then commitment to its implementation in action in a sense in which acceptance of a philosophical belief is not.

Or, to put it more accurately a philosophical belief becomes a religious belief insofar as it is made the basis of a commitment in action.

Religious ideas may be speculative in philosophical sense, but the attitude toward them is not speculative in the sense that well "I wonder if it would make sense to look at it this way?"

Religious ideas then may be conceived as answers to the 'problems of meaning' in both senses discussed above.

On the one hand they concern the cognitive definition of the situation for action as a whole, including the cathetic and evaluative levels of interest in the situation.

This they share with ideological beliefs.

On the other hand, however, they also must include the problems of 'meaning' in the larger philosophical sense of the meaning of the objects of empirical cognition, of nature, human nature, so the vicissitudes of human life etc from their point of view. durkhiem

Secular means keeping the church and state from running each other. How can 10% of a population be secular?

Do you mean 10% of people want to keep them separate, or something else?

no, it does not, that is pure nonsense, as usual you dont understand what it means nor the language necessary to state anything clearly.

See post number 4 for the definition of secular, its in english tho, so good luck.

I don't care what you think things mean, and I don't think the OP does either. Notice how whereas I asked him for clarification, you went off on one of your usual rants pretending he said something he quite likely didn't.

Since when is 10% of people enough to declare a "secular world"? Even at 50% or 90% of people, I'd still be reluctant to just declare the world to be secular. Not to mention, you'd have to be way more clear about what makes a person qualify as "secular". And since when are youtube channels the methods for confirmation?

Your post does not have my agreement. It barely contains enough information to be considered a statement, let alone an argument or a persuasive argument.

I don't even see a link to his YouTube channel. Did I miss it? Maybe it doesn't show up when reading on my phone?

We live in a secular world the culture of which was formed by Judeo-Christian values and principles. Man, is formed in the image of God and has an innate need to search for the meaning of God's creation.

Out of the nearly 8 billion world population there aren't even 2 billion agnostics, atheists or others who are nonreligious. So, maybe you mean that it's common in first world countries for the people to prefer a secular government.

Also, less than a third of the world population is Judeo-Christian today.

Plus, projections show that Muslims could outnumber Christians by 2050.

Are you really sure that the values we espouse are uniquely Christian?

~ The "Church" and Evangelical organizations should be taxed . However this could be offset completely by acts of charity .

No. Read Marx and other German socialists. Normal people have always lived according to the principles of evolution and natural selection

Although I term myself a Hebraic Roots Universalist Christian Mystic......
and I identify with the Gnostic Christian Movement of the past twenty centuries........
I really do attempt to think in terms of true intellectual honesty and objectivity.......

.... because after eighteen years of studying the Bible I found out that I had been INCORRECT on virtually every major topic........

.... so how can I tell if my beliefs now in 2022 are even close to the truth........ or not????????

So yes..... your estimate of ten percent of people being "secular" is a quite "conservative" estimate indeed!?

All of us tend to vote for......
or propel into high positions of influence....
people who are more "secular" by definition...... because we do not trust that overly dogmatic hyper -religious person..... even within our own minds and hearts????

    True.....
and a Dr. Kevin Zadai "Volunteerism Hour or Dollar" could in theory be used to pay off the national debts of the United States, Canada, Israel and Australia.... just to get things started......

Dr. Kevin Zadai, Prayer Secrets Level 1, Warrior Notes School of Ministry, lesson 4 :

Can the national debt of the USA be paid off in one year?

Large churches in democratic nations should print their own currencies.

~ I don't remember too well — however I believe in the past the Church in USA did much to stem the need for tutoring of special needs children , Church schools for the children of the poor , counseling for "troubled youth " and abused women. This was deemed the reason for tax exemption. The Church "earned" this privilege .
Sadly today I see little of this charity.
~ In general my observation is that the more society falls away from faith and spiritual beliefs the worse human behavior becomes.

I'm not so sure there is any way to define charity such that it doesn't cover the whole of our major religious organizations.

Who can say that the Vatican isn't the head of a widely dispersed charitable organization?

It gets especially muddied when governments include religion itself as a sort of charity. Saving souls, etc.

I fully agree. I just don't believe there is a realistic way to draw the line in a way that is better than what we've got.

A LOT of the charity in the USA is actually just covering the costs of the local church - paying the prelates, keeping the building warm, the lights and water turned on, paying maintenance and grounds, etc.
