( A woman that does NOT mind a very bad hair cut ).
(That's so to come across as more Legit ).

Congratulations to Chief Susan Ballard on being selected O‘ahu’s first female @HonoluluPolice chief!

It's a good thing that we live in a time where social appearances are not as weighty as they once were. If she had been selected Police Chief in times past, the whole State of Hawaii might have received some serious concern from the others. I know that Hawaii, being a Liberal State, tends to favor the minorities, but come on.. Favoring an Irish woman on the Island because of her 'underdog' appearance? This form of 'Aloha' is nothing more than stepping on the backs of the qualified so that those 'less fortunate' can have the same titles...

Who or which Board selects such 'fine Candidates'?

Ballard is a surname of English origin. It likely derives from Middle English "ball," meaning "white spot," plus the suffix "-ard," and would therefore mean "bald head." Indeed, Wyclift ranslated 2 Kings 2:23 as "Stye up, ballard," where Coverdale translated the same passage as "Come up here thou balde head."

There are other sources for this name, besides the Anglo-Saxon. Not all people bearing the name are of English origins. It is common, with native etymology among several Celtic nations, although the British Celtic form is likely the original, and it may be that "Bald head" is a false etymology designed to give the name English roots. The earliest form is Ap Alard, meaning the "son of the fox" in Welsh, and it passed from Wales to Brittany as Aballard, whence it became popular in France under the form Aballaird, and thence to Spain.

Ballard, 60, was born in Norfolk, Va., and raised in North Carolina. Most recently assigned to HPD’s Central Receiving Division, she began her career with HPD in 1985. A major since 2001, Ballard has also headed the Windward and Kalihi district patrol divisions, as well as the training and finance divisions.

(She can't be a grandmother, can she)?
(If not a grandmother, then a Peace worker, such as a 'nun')?

Average retirement age for public workers: 60

How old should a worker be when he/she retires?

The full retirement age for workers in the Social Security system is 67, for those born after 1959. And today’s workers expect to retire at age 66,according to a new Gallup poll.

    Facts From the Grandparent Report

      • About one-third of all adults are grandparents.
      • The average age of becoming a grandparent is around 47.
      • The average age of grandparents is around 64.
      • The average grandparent has six grandchildren.

      • A little less than half of grandparents help with grandchildren's living expenses.
      • A quarter of grandparents help pay for medical or dental care for their grandchildren.
      • More than half of all grandparents believe they play a very important role in their grandchildren’s lives.
    https://www.thespruce.com/grandparents-demographic-information-1695746

Becoming a Grandparent at 47 would mean that your own child would have been born when you were 27 or so. With a child of your own at 27, and your child having their child at 20, you would be a Grandparent at 47.

So using the current year, 2017, a 47 year old would have been born in the year 1970. They would have had their own child in the year, 1997, and their child would have had their child in the year 2017. Those that were born in the year 1997 are 20 years learned in Life.

The average age of the, straight out of High School and 4 years of College, College Graduate is 18. Which would make the newly wed 'father' to have had 2 years of Job Experience with a newly received College Bachelor Degree. And so it would be no wonder why financial assistance would be needed from the Grandparents whose yearly career earnings would fall into the 47 year old average Salary of those born in the year 1970 with their certain kind of degree they may have.

If you’re curious about how much your peers are making, one way to compare is by age. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the mean wage for 20- to 24-year-olds across all education levels in the third quarter of 2016 was $625 a week, or $32,500 a year. For 25- to 34-year-olds, it was $966 a week, or $50,232 a year. The average salary for a recent college graduate with a bachelor’s degree was $50,219 a year in 2015, according to the National Association of Colleges and Employers.

    https://www.nerdwallet.com/blog/loans/student-loans/average-salary-by-age/

Keep in mind that only a percentage of people are in the 'salary' categories. Many fall into 'non-Salaried' positions.

    Wages verses Salary.

I receive Over Time, with 'wages', if I work over the 40 hour/week Federal Allowance.

I do not receive Over Time, with 'salary', if I work over the 40 hour/week Federal Allowance.

If i was earning the wage of 17 dollars an hour, anything over 40 hours would have me earning a pay of 25.5 dollars and hour for those Over Time hours.

    17($) x 40(hrs) = 680($)
    17($) x 55(hrs) = 680($) + 382.50($) = 1062.50($)

So for both newly wed 'father' and newly begotten 'grandfather', the grand child is in good hands if both the father and grandfather is earning a good wage at full time employment...

Good earnings - versus - meeting the cost of living earnings...

A box of 120 individual diapers can go for around 40 dollars at Wholesale Stores, such as Costco.

And babies can consume up to 10 dollars or less per day on nutritional supplies.

With the necessity to pay rent, monthly expenses, car and travel, clothes, wash, etc.... having a newborn can become very 'fast paced' if not prepared.

And if you lose keeping up with that speed of daily living, many fall off the spinning wheel.

And when parents and child(s) fall off, they begin 'hanging' out with strange folk that are hanging around.

Soon, you become a 'defender' to their lifestyles.

Why put yourself into a predicament that you will need to 'hang on' instead of preparing and providing for a gentler spin cycle?

Housing subsidy programs usually do not come with 'gentle spin' washers or dryers.

It even costs $$$ to enroll your child in after school activities sometimes.

Maybe the saying, 'you gotta pay to play', can apply.

What is the cost for any gender reassignment operation? And take into consideration that any new open incision made, for the new 'vagina', needs to be kept manually opened so that the flesh will not close in on itself as a means for 'healing', what might the 'costs' of that living arrangement be?

Open wounds tend to close itself up to heal itself all by the body's own natural functioning. Keeping an open wound open while the body is trying to heal itself will put the body into various stages of 'shock'.

How is entering in a Grandmother for Police Chief a 'safe' thing?

But how a surname can identify certain traits of a person is remarkable. It is so remarkable for me that I have already made my remarks.

I have a comment I'd like to make. Many adults tend to assume that their children will grow up fine and healthy just as they are. Able to make decisions for themselves, able to deal with daily needs as themselves, etc... However it doesn't always end up that way. Many fine, healthy children grow up to become catatonic schizophrenics; crippled; maimed; blinded; deafened; Sometimes even murdered.

The road to certain person's pursuit of happiness can mean the destruction of another's.

But not all are able bodied and able minded. Some have cried 'unfair, unfair'. That is why many persons have decided on life altering gender reassignments.

A person who was never 'bullied' usually never exhibits the results of 'bullying'.

North Korea and other Countries are in a 'bullying' match...

Governments and its Constituents are in a 'bullying' match...

Protesters and Establishments are in a 'bullying' match...

There was once a person who people went to for advice. They came to him one day and asked, 'sir, you know what people are saying about that one who calls himself a virgin. They say he is out of his mind and not keeping to Public interests and some have even said that he has caused factions and insurrections. What do you have to say about him'?

The man looked back to them and replied, 'which one of you does not agree that he is not ordinary? Which one of you denies that he stands against the public interests? Which one of you is guilty as he is'?

They could not answer since none was as guilty as he.

The Statements I wrote concerning her 'appearance' is not a reflection of how I 'view' her as. Those statements are not how I think of her as. They are statements that go contrary to the political corrective speeches of 'everything is fine and dandy and we should make it a priority to not say any remark that any person could take negatively.'

Speaking truth is better than flatteries.

    Proverbs 29:5
"A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet."

Police Chiefs should learn how to get upset over injustices and crime rather than always being polite and meek and giving 'justifications' to criminals without even hearing the victims' point of views.

Isn't that a 'normal' expected duty of a Police Chief? Or is Criminal Law changing?

What other U.S. State has a 60 year old LADY for a Police Chief?

    https://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=UTF-8&fr=crmas&p=all+women+police+chiefs

While there’s no scholarly consensus that female police officers hold a different philosophy on policing than men, evidence suggests that diversifying leadership could improve policing tactics and community relations by exposing police officers to different viewpoints, said David Sklansky, a law professor at Stanford University.

“Female police chiefs bring more than their gender,” he said. “Policing was and in many ways is held back by a culture of insularity and machismo, and diversity brings new and more creative thinking about what policing should look like.”

Sklansky’s research has found that women bring to the table different problem-solving tactics in cases involving domestic violence, excessive force and race relations.

The U.S. has 11.3 MILLION unlawful immigrants (Yr. 2012) and female Police Chiefs are seeking to improve 'what' again?

Who the heck is being negligent in their 'Hiring' Processes?

The 'normal' person does not seek to make peace with law breakers. They seek to be separated from them; not be made friends with them through the assistance of Police recommendations on how to live.

    ---------------------------------------
    What is “negligence”?

Negligence occurs when a person uses less than reasonable care to protect others from harm. Most personal injury and similar tort cases are based on a claim that one person’s negligence has caused another’s injury.

A negligence case has four elements:
    • A duty of care that exists between the injured person and the negligent person, requiring the negligent person to act with reasonable care to prevent another’s injuries;
    • A breach of the duty of care, usually caused by failing to act with reasonable care;
    • The breach of duty’s being the proximate cause of the injury. In other words, but for the breach, the injury would not have happened; and
    • An injury caused by the breach of duty. The injury may be physical, mental, emotional, or financial, as long as it is the kind of injury that can be fixed by paying money damages.
The duty of care that one person owes another depends on the situation that caused the injury. In most everyday situations, each person is responsible for acting with reasonable care to prevent injuries to others. Reasonable care may include actions like coming to a complete stop at a red traffic light or shoveling a sidewalk after it snows. A prior relationship is not required to create a duty of care; even a complete stranger has a duty to act as a reasonable person would in the same circumstances and to avoid carelessness or recklessness that might injure someone.

Keeping persons protected from harm does not include having them befriend the wrong doers. Unless the ones being protected are the wrong doers, at which time, they are the ones being kept protected from harm.

Rather than using deceit and cover ups to have certain persons kept safe while, perhaps unlawful, why not just address the City or County or Both or The State and be forthright with them with what is 'truly' going on rather than 'beating them around the bush'???

Since when did it become a crime or a wrong doing for a legal U.S. citizen to get upset over the wrongs that are not being attended to in the neighborhoods they are legally residents of?

'But Officer, are you meaning to tell me that I am wrong for being upset over these juveniles screeching their tires around here at all hours of the night when they don't even live in this neighborhood'?

What are unlawful immigrants expected to do everyday if and when they are allowed into The U.S. as unlawful immigrants?

They need to have some kind of daily activity for themselves, also, right? Are they expected to stay put and quiet all day, everyday?

Don't Law Enforcers know, before they apply for the Academy, that their job will be to protect and serve the Legal Citizen General Public?

I still, after weeks of knowing of a female police chief, do not think that it is wise for a female to be such.

Females should not have to worry about things such as 'death threats' and 'bribery'.. They really shouldn't need to have to be in positions where their female duties of being a female are being compromised and used by others for their own sakes.

For me to have to think that my mother or grandmother or aunt or great aunt would be a police chief among male criminals of all sorts would really put a dread into me knowing that my mother or grandmother or aunt or great aunt really shouldn't..

I mean, let Uncle Bob or Cousin Bill do the job.. Let mother or grandmother or aunt or great aunt Susan be a mother or grandmother or aunt or great aunt, for crying out loud..

She may not have any children or grandchildren of her own but she probably DOES have nephews and nieces, brothers or sisters...

If I was a 60 year old lady today, I'd probably be thinking, 'what's wrong with all these males of today'??

'Hey! Uncle Bob. Hey! Cousin Bill. Are you like one of those 'males of today''?

'Can i play with your 'gun''? 'I don't think Ms. Susan should be being weighted with a gun of her own, do you'?

I thought only 'males' were supposed to be 'packing'.

    "All For You"

All my girls at the party
    Look at that body
    Shakin' that thing
    Like I never did see
    Got a nice package alright
Guess I'm gonna have to ride it tonight

All my girls at the party
    Look at that body
    Shakin that thing
    Like you never did see
Got a nice package all righ

    Hit it: 4, 3, 2, 1

    [Chorus:]
    All for you
    If you really want it
All for you if you say you need it
All for you if you gotta have it
All for you make a move
    All for you

I see you staring out the corner of my eye
You seem uneasy want to approach
    Throw me a line
But then something inside you grabs you says who am I
I know exactly cuz it happens with all the guys

    [Bridge:]
So you do what you gonna do
Come on and talk to me
Promise you won't even have an attitude
I'll let you sit right next to me
Don't join the list with all the other fools
That ain't the way to be
    Yes, it's cool
    Yes, I'm in the mood
    Intimidations got that mind

    [Chorus]

Can't be afraid or keep me waiting too long
    Before you know it
I'll be outta here I'll be gone
Don't try to be all clevercute, or even shy
Don't have to work that hard
Just be yourself and let that be your guide

    [Bridge]

    [Chorus x2]

    [x2:]
All my girls at the party
    look at that body
shaking that thing like you never did see
    Gotta nice package alright
Guess Im gonna have to ride tonight

And then there are some reports that there are some males or females that screw 'goats'??? WTHeck?!?!

If you know someone who screws 'goats', the best thing you can do for that person is to remove that person out of the areas or states or places where there are goats.. Safer that way.

I mean, have some concern... Help those persons relocate to a safer place...

But don't make a mother or grandmother or aunt or great aunt do it... I mean man up.. Let uncle Bob or Cousin Bill. Or are they too squeamish to handle it?

Being a participant to 'pop culture' can make a male become squeamish..

Winning over the ladies... which is fine... Most males should only be with 1 woman anyway..

But when every little nook and cranny gets crammed with this sort of stuff, even the goats go running.

    What is morphine?
Morphine is an opioid pain medication. An opioid is sometimes called a narcotic.

Morphine is used to treat moderate to severe pain. Short-acting formulations are taken as needed for pain.

The extended-release form of morphine is for around-the-clock treatment of pain. This form of morphine is not for use on an as-needed basis for pain.

Who came up with the name, morphine?

Clinical studies consistently conclude that morphine, like other opioids, often causes hypogonadism and hormone imbalances in chronic users of both sexes. This side effect is dose-dependent and occurs in both therapeutic and recreational users. Morphine can interfere with menstruation in women by suppressing levels of luteinizing hormone. Many studies suggest the majority (perhaps as much as 90%) of chronic opioid users have opioid-induced hypogonadism. This effect may cause the increased likelihood of osteoporosis and bone fracture observed in chronic morphine users. Studies suggest the effect is temporary. As of 2013, the effect of low-dose or acute use of morphine on the endocrine system is unclear.

Morphine is a highly addictive substance. In controlled studies comparing the physiological and subjective effects of heroin and morphine in individuals formerly addicted to opiates, subjects showed no preference for one drug over the other.

Studies have shown that morphine can alter the expression of a number of genes. A single injection of morphine has been shown to alter the expression of two major groups of genes, for proteins involved in mitochondrial respiration and for cytoskeleton-related proteins.

Morphine was discovered as the first active alkaloid extracted from the opium poppy plant in December 1804 in Paderborn, Germany, by Friedrich Sertürner. In 1817 Sertürner reported experiments in which he administered morphine to himself, three young boys, three dogs, and a mouse; all four people almost died.[106] Sertürner originally named the substance morphium after the Greek god of dreams, Morpheus, as it has a tendency to cause sleep.

The drug was first marketed to the general public by Sertürner and Company in 1817 as a pain medication, and also as a treatment for opium and alcohol addiction. It was first used as a poison in 1822 when Dr. Edme Castaing of France was convicted of murdering a patient.[108] Commercial production began in Darmstadt, Germany in 1827 by the pharmacy that became the pharmaceutical company Merck, with morphine sales being a large part of their early growth.[citation needed] In the 1850s Alexander Wood reported that he had injected morphine into his wife as an experiment; his wife died from respiratory depression

Morphine is a type of effective painkiller drug used to treat aching body parts such as the head or lower back. However, a new study revealed that morphine used for lower back pain can actually trigger rapid changes in the brain.

In a recent study conducted by a team of researchers led by Dr. Joanne Lin, a researcher at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, shows that using morphine pills for lower back pain can gradually reduce the brain's gray matter. The group started the study by doing a 30 day experiment on 21 patients.

The study coordinators were able to find out that due to morphine that is present in the system, various brain regions thought to regulate emotions, cravings and responses to pain and volume, saw a 3 percent decrease when it comes to the volume of the brain's gray matter.

Those parts that are responsible for learning, memory and executive function gained a visible amount. However, those patients who received placebo as a treatment did not show even the slightest chemical change in the brain after the study ended.

Hypogonadism means diminished functional activity of the gonads—the testes in males or the ovaries in females—that may result in diminished sex hormone biosynthesis. In layman's terms, it is sometimes called interrupted stage 1 puberty. Low androgen (e.g., testosterone) levels are referred to as hypoandrogenism and low estrogen (e.g., estradiol) as hypoestrogenism, and may occur as symptoms of hypogonadism in both sexes, but are generally only diagnosed in males and females respectively. Other hormones produced by the gonads that hypogonadism can decrease include progesterone, DHEA, anti-Müllerian hormone, activin, and inhibin. Spermatogenesis in males, and ovulation in females, may be impaired by hypogonadism, which, depending on the degree of severity, may result in partial or complete infertility.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypogonadism

Women with hypogonadism do not begin menstruating and it may affect their height and breast development. Onset in women after puberty causes cessation of menstruation, lowered libido, loss of body hair and hot flashes. In boys it causes impaired muscle and beard development and reduced height. In men it can cause reduced body hair and beard, enlarged breasts, loss of muscle, and sexual difficulties. A brain tumor (central hypogonadism) may involve headaches, impaired vision, milky discharge from the breast and symptoms caused by other hormone problems

A fricken pill can cause infertility and hormonal imbalance. And have some kind of alteration on some kind of expression of some genes. From 1 pill. and continued use. After 30 years or so of buffing up and/or learning how to be delicate, a couple of pills will knock all previous 30 years out the window.. just like that.. poof.. it's all gone.. temporarily, i hope.

I'm beginning to wonder.. Could most of these youths who appear to be more effeminate be on these hormone imbalancing pills?

i do hear that there is an Opioid Epidemic in The U.S. Morphine is 1 of those opioids.

What is the relation between opioid use(rs) and employment?

Drug overdoses have since become the leading cause of death of Americans under 50, with two-thirds of those deaths from opioids.[6] In 2016, the crisis decreased overall life expectancy of Americans for the second consecutive year.[7] Overall life expectancy fell from 78.7 to 78.6 years. Men were disproportionally more affected due to higher overdose death rates, with life expectancy declining from 76.3 to 76.1 years. Women’s life expectancy remained stable at 81.1 years.[7]

In 2016, over 64,000 Americans died from overdoses, 21 percent more than the almost 53,000 in 2015.[8][9][6] By comparison, the figure was 16,000 in 2010, and 4,000 in 1999.[10][11] While death rates varied by state,[12] public health experts estimate that nationwide over 500,000 people could die from the epidemic over the next 10 years.[13] In Canada, half of the overdoses were accidental, while a third was intentional. The remainder were unknown.[14] Many of the deaths are from an extremely potent opioid, fentanyl, which is trafficked from Mexico.[15] The epidemic cost the United States an estimated $504 billion dollars in 2015

On October 26, 2017, President Donald Trump concurred with his Commission's report and declared the country's opioid crisis a "public health emergency."

Impact on Special Populations Adolescents (12 to 17 years old) • In 2015, 276,000 adolescents were current nonmedical users of pain reliever, with 122,000 having an addiction to prescription pain relievers. 3 • In 2015, an estimated 21,000 adolescents had used heroin in the past year, and an estimated 5,000 were current heroin users. Additionally, an estimated 6,000 adolescents had heroin a heroin use disorder in 2014.3 • People often share their unused pain relievers, unaware of the dangers of nonmedical opioid use. Most adolescents who misuse prescription pain relievers are given them for free by a friend or relative.10 • The prescribing rates for prescription opioids among adolescents and young adults nearly doubled from 1994 to 2007

The opioid epidemic that has ravaged life expectancy among economically stressed white Americans is taking a rising toll among blacks, Hispanics and Native Americans, driving up the overall rate of death among Americans in the prime of their lives.

Since the beginning of this decade, death rates have risen among people between the ages of 25 and 44 in virtually every racial and ethnic group and almost all states, according to a Washington Post analysis. The death rate among African Americans is up 4 percent, Hispanics 7 percent, whites 12 percent and Native Americans 18 percent. The rate for Asian Americans also has increased, but at a level that is not statistically significant.

After a century of decreases, the overall death rate for Americans in these prime years rose 8 percent between 2010 and 2015.

    2001: A new standard
Making pain treatment a priority came to the attention of the Joint Commission, a nonprofit that sets standards and accredits hospitals and medical centers.
The group created this standard in 2001: "Pain is assessed in all patients." Medical centers and their doctors were required to examine their patients' pain levels -- and the Joint Commission would give hospitals "requirements for Improvement" if they failed to meet this standard.
Though the standard makes no mention of treating pain with drugs or even mentioning opioids as a treatment, the Joint Commission printed a book in 2000 for purchase by doctors as part of required continuing education seminars. The book cited studies that claimed "there is no evidence that addiction is a significant issue when persons are given opioids for pain control." It also called doctors' concerns about addiction side effects "inaccurate and exaggerated." The book was sponsored by Purdue Pharma.

"There is no doubt that the widely held belief that short-term use of opioids had low risk of addiction was an important contributor to inappropriate prescribing patterns for opioids and the subsequent opioid epidemic," Baker said in an emailed statement. "The Joint Commission was one of the dozens of individual authors and organizations that developed educational materials for pain management that propagated this erroneous information."
The Joint Commission removed its standard to assess pain in all patients in 2009.

August 2010: From pills to heroin
The makers of OxyContin released a newly formulated version of the drug -- one with an "abuse deterrent" -- with the hope of making make it more difficult to crush and abuse by snorting or injecting it.

    Silverstein and Hawkings..

    One Jewish, one English.

How are these related?? I have no idea...

In 2006 Hawking posed an open question on the Internet: "In a world that is in chaos politically, socially and environmentally, how can the human race sustain another 100 years?", later clarifying: "I don't know the answer. That is why I asked the question, to get people to think about it, and to be aware of the dangers we now face."

What is a good way to always be getting 'richer' but never getting 'greedy'?

After making a 'set' amount, give a certain portion of that amount away, and begin working to make monies up to that original 'set' amount, and then after reaching it again, give a certain portion away, and begin remaking up the gap, over and over again.. You will always have a certain 'nest' but the extras will be given away and then remade and given away and remade..all the while keeping your 'nest'.

The difficult part is figuring out what you want your 'maintained' nest amount to be set at..

All the other 'profits' are made in good daily workings and enjoyments..

This statement is regarding the two above persons.

I'm neither one of them, though, so this statement cannot and does not apply to myself..
