A bunch that can function independently, which still leaves the assertion that a single cell is a person a really moronic assertion.
You don't know ANY of that. You are making gigantic assumptions. Plus, you still seem to think that the government is the morality police.
Abortions never occur at the single cell phase. Science! Unless you took the morning after pill, which I consider to be your last get out of jail free card morally. But then gestation can actually take up to two weeks. Most abortions (92 percent) occur in the first trimester at or before 13 weeks. Typically a woman would have had to of missed her period, realized something was up and took a pregnancy test. By that time, the cell has already divided before she can get her hands on any "pill". This is a 13 week old fetus. I'm not a math guy, but that's more than 1 cell.
That's a fetus, NOT a person. Pointing to something more than 1 cell isn't an argument for the fetus being a person. Plus, this doesn't address ANY of the health related issues.
Unless you went into intercourse penis in vagina, completely ignorant as to how children are made...you purposefully took part in the one act that you knew came with the act. Sorry, you can't escape reasonability even if you tried to use preventative measures, you gambled...rolled the dice and created a person.
- it's human - it's alive - it will eventually develop into a full grown human adult. It was this at conception.
Fetus is a person. It doesn't get added another magic ingredient during development. it is what it always. Health related issues? Like health of the mother or the baby? I said extreme circumstance allows for abortion. That includes the health of the mother or the baby
Your argument now is boiled down to personal insults...see how easy that was to dismantle your logic down until it forced you to adhomns?
I just told you what it is. You just disagree. That's fine. But I'm comfy explaining to you that life begins at conception. person pûr′sən noun A living human. Often used in combination. An individual of specified character. The composite of characteristics that make up an individual personality; the self. The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition. Just facts that you perceive as insults because you lack a basic understanding and knowledge of the issue.
Nope I gave you the actual definition. And then described to you, the reality of all the things that the fetus is. Do you know what a person is?
The counter point is that a single cell is not a person. That is simple fact nothing emotional about it.
This is just plain false. Every method of prophylaxis has a failure rate. Women get raped. Procreation includes numerous healthcare issues where abortion is an important element - as I've posted above. Your ideas are fundamentally based on YOUR views of morality. It is NOT the governments job to enforce views of morality. There is NOTHING reasonable or even rational about you post.
You are proposing the fuzzy line problem that is very real TODAY. Fuzzy lines threaten doctors with ending their careers should some prosecutor or district attorney interpret the fuzz the way that is politically expedient for them in their next election. Doctors can't work in ob gyn if there is a chance they will lose their license, killing their entire career, making them uninsurable or even giving them a criminal record. The result is serious damage to ob gyn healthcare in the USA. https://www.healthcaredive.com/news/half-ob-gyn-residents-train-states-ban-abortion/626066/ https://www.npr.org/sections/health...-doctors-talking-in-code-to-pregnant-patients https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2022/08/06/abortion-maternity-health-obgyn/
Is it human? Is it alive? Will it grow into a human adult? If youve answered yes to all three of those things, then it's a person. Re read the definition of person which Ive posted in this thread.
Rape accounts for less then 1 percent of abortions. Rape also does not apply to my stance since I said if you purposely chose to have sex in the only way that it can create a person ..regardless if you've used protection, your actions have consequences. I've heard these bullshit arguements before. They are so cute and easy to counter
